My mom's friend was driving under the speed limit and an old woman with Alzheimers jumped into the road in front of her car and was killed. On that street there are numerous cars parked along the side of the road. She was charged with using a cell phone(even though she didn't and there wasn't enough proof. She had sent a text to her daughter, but she pulled over at the gas station which was less than one minute away) and charged for killing the old woman and sent to prison(I think for one or two years). The old woman has ran into the street numerous times before and almost been hit. Why she wasn't in a home is beyond me. She was obviously not safe by herself. It was the family's fault in my opinion.

Financial issues can happen. If you were to suddenly get real sick you would have to go to a hospital. That alone can cost a lot. Let's say you were only had one job and it was only just enough to pay for rent and food. With the hospital visit you now owe money(even with insurance you still have to pay). Depending on the ailment, you may have to pay for a lot of medication and may be out of work for a while. Being out of work means no money coming in. No money coming in means no rent or food. You start having to borrow money to be able to afford rent, food, and medication.

Most people end up in debt these days unless you don't work and live off the gubmint.
