Um, not really. People are branded sluts when word gets out that they've slept with a large number of people. It's not like they wake up one day and say, "You know what? I'm going to be a slut from now on." It's also not like they say "You know, I sleep with a lot of guys, but I'm just not going to be a slut." It doesn't work that way. If you have extramarital sex with a large number of men, you're a slut (according to society). If the men let word get out that you're loose, then you're known as a slut.
