I think it's a law but not enforced whatsoever. Those smart enough to get ahold of them should be smart enough to handle them. I mean of course don't swallow when you realize the egg isn't hollow, and the bucky balls, i have NO idea why they would be. But yea, it's like how shooting at a moose from the 3rd story window of a house is illegal in CO. It's stupid but not really enforced

bucky balls are illegal(in the u.s) cuz some little girl swallowed a bunch of em last year and it ripped her stomach and intestines...she survived but still no bucky balls

i think it cuz its advertised as toy basically..and the parents dont get blamed, instead theyre awarded with a lawsuit, because they were too busy/irresponsible to watch what their kid is doing..

i know exactly what you mean whenever i see a warning that would be obvious if you have common sense, i always think some company got sued so now everyone is putting warning labels...but honestly that just makes us americans look dumber.

I don't dumb myself down, i just don't act like a know-it-all. All of my friends are those who have common sense, are smart but not genius, and don't mind getting their hands dirty. I couldn't ask for better, but I am not going to ever risk my intelligence for someone else. the most I would do is NOT bring up my ingenuity in a convo with that person but in general, I don't plan on acting dumb to fit in.
