Agreed. All these people saying they admire his determination/drive/etc. are eating a sack of shit. He is basically acting like a modern Hitler with his bratty, 10 year-old attitude:
"I want that."
"No, its not yours. Crimea belongs to Ukraine, and they don't want to give it to anyone."
"Look, here's a paper where Crimea said yes. I want that."
Seriously, no better than a goddamn child. As for the people saying that Crimea is legitimately seceding from Unkraine, they're also full of shit. In every instance in history where a part of a county has declared independence, the countries didn't recognize their independence. Some took them back into the country, and some were wrestled away by those looking for independence, or dirty opportunist like Putin. If Crimea won their independence by their own accords, I wouldn't throw two shits at it. But if they merge into Russia, it will be solely because of Russia's full support.
All those idiots trying to play devil's advocate, or that maybe just have their heads up their asses, are full of shit. They are trying to justify the behavior of a warmonger as something completely different. But watch Russia pull the Nazi Germany, and lets see what those people do when the troops are knocking at their doors.

So because the Nazis did it, its not okay for anyone else to do it, ever?
You act like the Nazis set the precedence for what is completely and irrevocably evil and should not be done ever in the history of man again. Take a step back and instead consider maybe that countries like to annex territory and grow?

He doesn't care about our sanctions because yes, he hates our country and president, but because he simply doesn't care. Getting kicked out of G-8? Whatever. Restricting the finances of some of his top people? Oh well.
It doesn't take a lot of balls to do that to a leader who wouldn't care if any other country did it to him, either.

Putin may basically be a Tsar, but is that a bad thing? Some of the greatest leaders in history ruled with an Iron Fist, see attached.

Ohh boy, I can't wait until you grow up and realize how full of shit you are.

> pop culture and propaganda
I'm sorry? Who relies on propaganda again?
Putin has all these false stories, staged feats of "manliness" and even has a youth movement which is little more than a cult of personality.
If Obama had half that kind of power, it would be a very different place indeed. Instead, we get a president who, for the most part, is same old, same old, but what little he does try to do is cockblocked by a bunch of assholes. Half of whom are backward and stupid, and the other half are heartless greedy bastards.

He's an egotist who longs for the return of the Soviet Empire, and an ex-member of the KGB, a ruthless organization with little regard for life. Now he invades countries because he can, laying claim on them based on vague justifications. He intimidates and bullies those who get in his way. He is not a leader, merely a kind of tyrant. He is the kind of person who would likely have no problem (and possibly did, during the KGB days) busting skulls to get what he wants.
Anyone who acts with such naked aggression is not to be trusted.
#197 - internetzsoviet (03/25/2014) [-]
Wow, you almost perfectly described the United States during the Imperialist Era under Teddy Roosevelt. Minus the whole KGB thing anyway. Once again, a good knowledge of history helps in objectively understanding circumstances and situations (something you may or may not have trouble with, but sounds as though you do).
Anyone who acts with such "naked aggression" is probably a lot more qualified to run a government (a superpower no less) than you and I are, or a lot of other people.

To cite a cliche, who died and made you God? I wasn't aware some pretentious Funnyjunker had the lock-and-keys to the expression of my opinions. I will believe and comment on what I like, thank you very much. Surely far dumber folk than I have done, and continue to do so.
#205 - internetzsoviet (03/25/2014) [-]
No one died, and no one made me a god. I was simply stating that the discussion of matters such as governments and politics probably aren't going to be very fruitful for a pacifist, considering the nature of such fields. I also never barred you from believing or debating anything, I don't know why you felt you had to state that. Perhaps instead of debating politics you should learn that not everything is a personal attack on you or your character. I never insulted you, yet you insult me. Who is being pretentious here?
Wow, I just noticed you even threw in the red thumbs. That's really going to show me I was wrong.

Text-only communication lacks something, so I think you're missing my point. But I've had a rough day and have ceased caring about this conversation. I bid you adieu. Pretend that this counts as a victory for you if it makes you feel better, but I've got more important things to do than argue with a tyrant apologist.

If Russia was a group of fractured ethnic groups about to be united for the first time, maybe Putin would be Bismarck. But it isn't, and he isn't.
Aside from that, Bismarck promoted reform to attempt to stop socialism and anarchism, which was good policy regardless of intent, while Putin has turned Russia more backward than the Soviets did.
#194 - internetzsoviet (03/25/2014) [-]
I didn't say Putin was Bismarck. However, he is ex-KGB and likely extremely intelligent and capable. Care to explain how exactly he has possibly turned Russia more backward than the Soviet Union? And define "backward", since it appears everyone is obsessed with "forward" and no one takes a minute to define what either is, or why for that matter.

Capable is definitely not the same as good, and definitely not when looking at Putin (and Russia's) record on human rights and democracy
Backward in a purely economic sense, describing smaller or less functional economies.
Here's a nice graph of USSR vs post-USSR economies:
and just Russia
You can look at the charts and say that Russia is growing, and that's good. The problem is that Medvedev and Putin caused a slowdown of economic growth, especially sustainable growth, as the post-USSR economy is massively based off of oil and gas rather than industry, which makes it more fragile and corrupt.
Basically, Russia has been just fulfilling post-USSR industrial capacity (effectively just refilling lost jobs) rather than creating new work, which makes much of this "growth" very unimportant.
While the USSR sucked balls and I don't support it, its economy was significantly more stable and robust than that of Putin. It was probably more abusive of human rights, but only because it had the power and thought it was just in using it; Putin seems only to abuse rights when politically expedient.
tl;dr: USSR econ sucked, Putin sucks more

Putin's seen as a guy who drills for oil while death matching bears, back handing sharks, poisoning snakes, the list goes on, but due to how badly Obama's screwed up before, he's seen as a passive, old, toothless tiger, the same with other presidents in the past few decades.

Actually, since 2013 the reliability and new designs for markers really took off. I have a MKP-II, and I never had any real issues.
Off the top of my head, There are Milsig's, Rap4 468, Scarab arms Tgr1/Tgr2, Rap4 Tacamo Conversion kits, Tiberius arms T8.1 and T9 series, TiPx, and growing.
Check out this channel for awesome footage. It's not me, just an awesome magfed player.
