Wait the RS200 crash that injured a bunch of people was before that

There were few crashes that involved spectators, worst one is 3 people dead and 31 injured and yes I think it's the RS200 who crashed. But the breaking point is when Henri Toviosomething was driving the Lancia S4 and flew off the road into a ravine. No witnesses and all they found was a blackened frame/shell and dead driver and co-pilot. Few hours later, Group B was cancelled, Ford and Audi pulled out of that rally season completely.

I though a bunch of the scrutiny was because spectators were getting hurt as well. And I know Audi dropped right after that but didnt it take the RS200 crash for FIA to finally cancel Group B?

Thats just crazy, and with the amount of idiot spectators getting so close its amazing it lasted 4 years (i think)

it ended mostly because a driver and his co-pilot crashed and died. group b was cancelled just a few hours after the crash. but i imagine those idiotic (yet, I admit, ballsy) spectators contributed to it being cancelled...
another quote i remember reading from a driver, something like; "[spectators] they are just bushes and trees and rocks to us. if we thought of them as people we couldn't drive."

I was reading about the group b's short life, somewhere it said that drivers actually could not react fast enough to control the car. like, it was physically not possible for the driver to react, eyes couldn't re-focus fast enough and also tunnel vision would occur almost all the time. insane...
