And while you have every right to believe in something, I also have the right to say my opinion on it, especially in retaliation to your claims that Atheists don't know the stories of the bible, as if somehow being an atheist means they've never picked up the book to read it. If you think my opinion is offensive, you need a much thicker skin, because there are far more cruel ways of denouncing your beliefs.

How can you reconcile a God who says he loves everyone, but commands homosexuals and women who aren't virgins before marriage be killed in the streets? How can someone who loves his creations doom some of them to eternal pain because they didn't follow the teachings of one particular guy and potentially never hear the name 'Jesus' in their lives? How can you make these claims without falling back into rhetoric, claiming we humans are too low to understand his ways, or incapable of connecting these dots only God can supposedly see?

Sorry if i said that noen atheists have read the bible i understand that some have. I believe. You're a nice atheist but please dont convince me that what i believe is wrong.. that is my only problem with most atheist. (again wont judge)

Reading "these stories" is the reason myself and many others become atheist.

It's funny because I have read the bible and had to go to church because of my catholic mamai until I was 16.

I don't know every story, but I know these stories better than most people I encounter. Fact of the matter is, the Bible is a self-contradicting, nonsensical collection of translated, cherry-picked, re-translated, and poorly understood stories that have no right to decide modern morality or conduct. Modern humanity has out-grown the security blanket of faith in a higher power, and even if I did believe that a deity exists, I wouldn't worship the petulant, jealous child that is YHWH.

Each time the bible was translated it made room to add biased info, edit words to sound more to the agenda and opinions of the translator, and take things out that don't fit what they want.

I'm not judging you. You're calling our center of belief stupid which is really offensive. God loves us all so much and no action would ever be "unforgivable" to him. This is what we believe in.
