science made a discovery that could cure a certain desease, the religeous response.

"god gave us the cure cause he deemed us ready to use it "

Oh, and I never saw someone in my family says something like that. The good doctors are respected where I live. When someone dies, they say 'be strong, it's god's will, we can't change this' et cetera. Now you'll see me getting thumbed down because I'm trying to defend this. Some guy will come and say how wicked I am in any moment, at least it was what I got in my previous experiences.

You have a valid point but I hope you don't think the average religious person would think in that way. I went to a Christian school for a long time and kids are taught things like praying for somebody's well being is good but doesn't mean much if you don't actively help a person out when they need it.

Well I'm religious and I never thought of that. My father is also a surgeon so I would know. Though I don't know which one would make you happier, if religious people like me do exist or don't exist.

Well it's a good thing you talked to every religious community out there! I was beginning to think that you were just pulling generalized statements out of your ignorant ass...oh wait.

what grinds my gears is that religion often takes credit for the things science accomplish

I just love how the guy's sunglasses get back into the boat, just before they're about to go overboard.
It's like they feel compelled to return to their master.
