Man, I'm not saying they're all funny but often people just look the frontpage, and when they have finish, they go to the new content section. I made an OC which had 47 thumbs up and 6 thumbs down (it means that statisticaly it's funny right ?) for 1811 view , people often thumbing down stuff they don't like but rarely thumb stuff up, just laugh and go away. They usualy thumbing up when it gets the bottom of the frontpage. I was like that at the begining.

first of all, statistically its not funny, you had almost 2000 views and only 46 people found it funny enough to thumb. secondly youre assuming people are skipping without thumbing, despite finding it funny, but theyre not. People are skipping because its not funny enough for a thumb, but not shit enough for a thumb down, so they just move on...

No. The Higgs Boson proves that some matters like atoms have a certain property, I think. However, unless you can provide legitimate sauce, I don't think they have even discovered it yet.

well they said it was only preliminary findings but it is most likely to become the official discovery of the particle. But im pretty sure the particle is why there is matter int he first place, how all the matters stick together. I mean i only know what dr biran cox said in the newspaper, but he said the higgs particle is whats inbetween all the space inbetween atoms, protons, neutrons and so on. The particle is that empty space, so when we look infront of ourselves, it seems liek its just air (obviously oxygen, nitrogen and stuff) but actualy its just loads of higgs particles everywhere

No. In the 10% of NOT empty space, 90% is most likely Dark Matter. So about 9% Dark Matter and 1% Normal Matter, and 90% emptiness.

While a significant portion is likely dark matter, its still mostly empty, even when you look at places with things. Without all the space between a nucleus and its electrons, you could fit Mount Everest into a half gallon milk jug.
