NAXALT is just as bad as straw-manning.

A fallacy does not necessarilly completely negate an argument. That´s a fallacy onto itself± The fallacy/fallcy.

I still think the comic is shitty because it doesn´t paint a realistic picture and it´s just another circle jerk and stereotyping which both sides have been doing and it only leads to hate and no serious arguments.

Also "A fallacy does not necessarily completely negate an argument" is technically incorrect, but you probably meant "A conclusion supported by a fallacious argument isn't necessarily wrong"

I think the comic is great because, from my perspective, the kind of mindset presented in the comic is quite common.

It's also a useful tool for when someone is saying "[group I disagree with] should stop name-calling", since it points out how hypocritical it is to identify with a group that does the same thing.

Oh it´s very common. But it´s not exclusive to the Democrats. I think you´d find it difficult to find a political affiliation at any time and place who doesn´t at least partially resort to pratices like these. The comic judges the Democrats but Republicans are just as guilty of this as them. There´s no incentive to actually be better then the other side, only to make the other side look worse.

I agree with all of that, I just don't think any of it matters. In memetic warfare the only thing that matters is appearance.

I don't know about alcohol, but in muslim countries (even moderate muslim countries such as Marocko) you can be arrested for eating/drinking during Ramadan even if you're not a muslim so it's not like muslim countries have this "To each his own" mantra that western countries has.

Of course they don´t. I´m not saying they do. But to say that there´s an absolute ban on alcohol at all times in every muslim country just isn´t true. Many of those countries, like Egypt for example, have ancient Christian miniorities. Wine is essential to many Christian ceremonies so this wouldn´t be possible if it were that strict.
