doesn't do shit unless you a) control every single person going across the border or b) have nation-wide gun laws. The same in the EU: if you cross from non-EU to EU, you get your car searched. If you travel from Germany to France, no big deal.

What Railroad?

Hey speaking of the rail road do you have a tip on finding them. I need to follow freedom trail. I'm in the commons. I found the A7 clue on the storm drain. I see the "at end of trail follow freedom bell sign" I'm over looking something simple to forward the quest and I feel stupid. I tried turning the robot on but that does nothing.

In the Church at the end of the trail. Go in, go into the main atrium, to the right there's a staircase down. Follow it, you'll enter a dungeon. There's some kind of a seal with writing, the ring spins. Use it to input R-A-I-L-R-O-A-D if theres more than 1 of the letter on the ring it doesn't matter which one you use.

Thank-you. I managed to figure everything out except the party about the bright red line on the ground making a literally trail. Still feel slow for that. I should never play portal.

I would have put that in a spoiler warning in case anyone wanted to find out on their own

I had the same problem, and asked a friend for help.

The freedom trail is a tour in Boston, where you visit the citys most famous sites. Next to Boston Commons there's a red line on the road (near the sidewalk). Follow the line, and you'll find the railroad.

Thank you! I was fixing too much expecting the robot to like your guide or something.
#117 - gerfox (12/01/2015) [-]
Yeah, that was my problem too. And whenever I spoke to the robot he said like one pre-programmed sentence, and went into his pod and never exited again. I thought my game was bugged for sure.

i literally tried for like 15 minutes to get the robot to guide me lol. took me even longer to realize i was supposed to follow the trail on the ground.

I managed to get lost during the quest. When I got to the bus and a bunch of raiders I got too preoccupied trying to not get killed by grenadespam that I pretty much cleared the area for raiders before realising that the trail turned right just in front of the gates.
To be fair there was a lot of junk on the ground and I was too focused on the raiders to look down.

I also spent an eternity on trying to use the code. Thinking it was some sort of "4 left towards the A" or something. When I found the real solution I felt dumb.
#116 - gerfox (12/01/2015) [-]
I killed the raiders too. And the supermutants. But because I wanted their loot.

The same friend who told me where to go told me the code too, so I didnt have to worry about it :p

I did the same goddamn shit with the code I even wrote down the clues you get when following the trail. After trying to crack the code for what felt like a decade I looked up the solution and felt like the biggest idiot. I feel like the entire quest was meant to make you feel like a retard

Yeah. I was starting to worry if I had missed a marker following the trail. It's a good thing the internet exist for us morons.

At least the puzzles are harder than the "find three statues" in skyrim.
