ITEMS: The reason why warmogs isn't that popular is because you get HP from Rylai's and the Rylai's/Liandry combo is really good. Also armor is better against physical damage, and MR is better against magical damage, than HP is.


Example of what's normal when you have 4 items in your inventory (arranged after how I place them there, not buy order)
Sorcs, Hextech, Liandry's, Rylai.

Sorcerer's boots: Every game unless special defense is needed.

Spirit of the spectral Wraith: I recommend for every game, unless you have a lot of AP on your team. Then you can consider Will of the Ancients.

Liandry's Torment: A lot of damage that fits Morde perfectly: At least 75% of all games.

Rilay's Crystal Scepter: Fantastic defensive item. It slows the enemy when they get hit by an ability, give you more damage AND HP: At least 50% of every game.

Abyssal Scepter: If you need magic resist, also good for damage

Warmogs: Good on Morde, not as good after nerfs: Build every game where you don't go Rilay's, some where you go Rilay's as well.

Hat/Rabadon's Deathcap: Just gives you damage. Not needed on Morde, but if your entire team is tanky, very good.

Zhonya's Hourglass: Very good against a lot of burst or AD comps, have an active button, so a little hard for newer players: Consider this more when you get to higher level.

Deathfire Grasp (DFG): Amazing for damage, but got an active button which is hard to utilize: Build for when you want to burst down one single target.
