Schizophrenia is related to over or underactive dopamine levels in some parts of the brain. Not the whole brain as over stimulation would be ADD/ADHD and understimulation would be depression. It's just localized to certain parts of your brain.

What your meds do is stop the production of dopamine and other reward chemicals in certain parts, that's why there's an increased risk of suicide and depression while taking anti-depressant or anti-psychotic pills. Strange huh.

Anyway, what your snorting / taking is effectively the opposite of a good time. It makes good times seem not as good so when you do your crazy shit you don't feel good about it therefore you don't do it anymore.

I read something about dopamine levels but no ones summed it up so simply to me, thank you. I find I feel happier on them though, it takes away so much anxiety what sounds and voices and the feeling of being watched create.

TAKE THE PILLS, people have such an ignorance towards medication but it really does work. Illnesses require medication, they don't sedate you or change who you are they give you the ability to function. Trust me i'm from the internet <3

Whoa there ; it depends a LOT on the medication. For instance, I have a friend who takes welbutrin and is fine all the time. I have another friend who had mild depression and took zoloft one time and became severely depressed and felt terrible for the duration of the drug's effects.

it's people like that who don't understand Quetiaphine is an anti psycotic which is really precise in what it does, It's a god send for me as it means I can function it's used for bi-polar as well people don't understand mental illnesses are still illnesses and medication makes them bearable
