The man has fuck all figured out.
The country has to get it's shit together, but it wasn't Margaret that drove us in to this mess today. Our economy was probably at it's strongest towards the end of her time, and she did that. She stopped the government's money going in to dead industries and got the trade unions to fuck. If we had more prime ministers like her, our country wouldn't be in the fucking mess it is today.

We shouldn't be organizing now that she's dead, as if she was preventing us. She got us organized, we should've remained organized, but we didn't.

Where the proof in that? She was the one that put an end to all the trade union strikes that caused all the power shortages in the 70s and what not when she scrapped the trade unions. The country was on it's knees, she picked it up. Alright, she inadvertently caused strikes by closing the non-profitable industries too, but it needed to be done. Otherwise, our economy would've gone to fuck.

In other words, she might have made some harsh choices, but she saved our country in doing so.

Aw yeah, sorry I forgot, Margaret Thatcher introduced poll tax just because she wanted to cause riots. The poll tax had no benefit towards the economy, all the money gathered from poll tax was thrown into the sea, it was solely arranged so that Thatcher could laugh at the butthurt.

User avatar #271 - crownsedge (04/12/2013) [-]

User avatar #276 - tkfourtwoone (04/12/2013) [-]
"I'll support any government that does not deny man man a living wage" / "she didn't care about the common man she cared about the rich"

The whole "the government needs to guarantee me a living" is a complete socialist-communist idea. Reminds me of the news I heard recently, that a Non-Government Organization is making a petition to instate a sort of "minimum wage as a universal right"... meaning that you get should get money for doing nothing, just living.

The government only needs to guarantee and protect the medium class, since it's the backbone of any solid economy. And it needs to do that by encouraging antrepreneurs, with details such as low taxes. Otherwise you alone are responsible for your well-being, the state should not cater you.
User avatar #277 - crownsedge (04/12/2013) [-]
If the state should not cater to anyone, why are the upper-class and middle-class protected?
You can also call me a communist too, but the working class are the backbone of any country.
User avatar #278 - tkfourtwoone (04/12/2013) [-]
And how is the upper-class protected? What do you mean/understand by "protecting the upper class"?

And no, not the working class are the backbone, because with no one to hire them (middle class) you'd have a dead economy. Indeed, they pay taxes through their wage, but the important contribution comes from the taxes on a company's profit.
User avatar #279 - crownsedge (04/12/2013) [-]
They have to coexist, because otherwise the countries working class will revolt and riot like they did in the 80s, thus bringing down the state of society.
You know how the upperclass are protected, jesus, the best example is bankers.
Your opinion is warped.
User avatar #280 - tkfourtwoone (04/12/2013) [-]
Ahhh, the bankers...

Indeed, one of the reason of the economical crisis of the last few years is that apparently, after the boom on the real estate market, banks have given tons of loads that clients cannot pay back now, so the banks turn to the state for help, instead of being responsible and declaring bankruptcy and getting it over with.
Thus, states enter debt to keep their local and international banks alive.
With this kind of policy, I do not agree.

As for the upper class, I view them as a tiny part of the middle class that reached groundbreaking success, such as Microsoft (OK, it's one of the biggest names, but it still stands). These kind of enterprises, as gigantic as they may be, have earned ALL of their hard-worked money (by being creative, ingenious, a step or two above the competition, etc) and NO ONE should say "you know, you have tons of money, what do you even do with all of them? Give it to us!". Honestly, it is their right to be a part of the upper class.
Look at Donald Trump and his empire, do you think that is not a hard-worked business?

With what I do NOT agree with is private companies making certain deals/contracts with the state that secures them a share of the market (or other rather illicit means of making money) OR the policies used by Apple/Foxxconn (or whatever the name is). It's one thing to benefit from the labor of your employees, it's a whole other to outright exploit them.

Now here is the most idiotic of your statements. Her term was ALL about the working man, while discouraging sitting on your ass and getting welfare (I heard there's a famous case these months in the UK newspapers about a family living grand-style solely on wellfare..). The whole point of reforms was to encourage entrepreneurs (which would give jobs, with which 1) you get money into the state budget via taxes and 2) decrease unemployment i.e lower some of the budget expenses) and competitiveness.
The coal mines were just a financial black hole, an illogical expense. And what do you do with an expense that doesn't bring you any good? Exactly, you cut it.

She let 10 political prisoners die, I'm sorry but they weren't common criminals. I just hope one day I can see a free united Ireland.

Okay honestly I don't give a fuck who she is or what she did. Celebrating someone's death is disgusting. End of.

You're given like, 3 great balls at that point. Plus Kurt can make a Fast ball IIRC which works well on Abra.

I can make a black fedora work with a black leather jacket, but that is about it. You get kind of like, a jazz/Keyboardist look. It's not class..it's like....jazzy-ness. If it is too casual, it looks terrible. Like in the above picture you posted. Also the style of fedora matters a lot.

You have to be at least 40 to make a trenchcoat work.

You have to have a certain look to make a fedora and trench coat work....

..You have to have that PI/detective look.

fedora and trench coat haven't worked since the 40's I'm afraid

though the trenchcoat can be worn with a suit like the whole scooter/mod/city boy look
