that's kind off a bad example...
Windows 10 was made since so many hated the UI in windows 8 (big, bulky and very unpractical for a PC). And still after all the negative feedback the big bulky menus and pop-ups are still there, just a bit toned down.

The reason they made it this way is so it can be used across different platforms (pc, tablet, phones and etc..) so they don't have to make entirely different' OS for each device (saving Microsoft money).

tl;dr windows 7 was made for Desktop usage strictly while windows 8 and 10 are made to be used across platforms.

windows 10 separates out the desktop and mobile UIs tho, you can switch between them, in desktop mode, its windows 7 with a sleeker skin and some new menus.

After watching countless videos on youtube about windows 10 i still was left with the windows 8 vibe (which i had half a year before i switched back too 7).
Everything is big and slow too navigate from a 28'' 1440p screen and got TONS off driver and compatibility issues.

I myself is waiting for someone taking the time to crack the windows 7 shell and rework the whole UI (i got a custom UI for windows 7 and i won't be able to go back too bland white).

its 100x more like windows 7 than it is like windows 8. none of the shit windows 8 had is left, its literally just windows 7, plus some new stuff which for the most part is nice.

I honestly don't see why i should ''upgrade'', slightly better performance and DX 12 seems to be the only one.
And performance isn't a issue for me, i would understand if you where using a laptop or something low-end but that's not the case.
DX 12 is the only solid reason i should upgrade and at this point it isn't much since not many games got DX 12.
