Well of course it EXISTS, that guy up there has a picture of it, but I've been to like five different provinces, rural and urban areas, NEVER seen it in Canada. My friend who lives in Wisconsin, however, DOES have bagged milk! So why do people call it a Canadian thing?

Was just pointing out what you said. And I've seen it in Toronto, Ontario mainly. Can't find it anywhere in Alberta I don't think. And I think alot of people don't realize that Canada and America are all that different. The northern states on the border of Canada are almost exactly alike. But. You know. It's more fun to make jokes about it. xD

Well. I was born in AZ. I wasn't taught anything about the social, economical, or standard of living in Canada. So generally when you see someone making a big hype about something on the internet (and it's usually generalized) you tend to just go with the flow and assume that's the norm. Unless you do you're research, or you've been to Canada, or you know someone from there, you would think that.
