It would be a few years until I move there and hopefully my degree at that point would help. The cost doesn't bother me too much, I'll have plenty saved up. Moreso wondering about Seattle itself

"1. He isn't a politician."

Since I was a kid, I've hated politics because it made no sense to me. I've always been skeptical of what exactly a politician is. What do you study in school to prepare you to become a politician, and how does that qualify you to lead entire nations? In North America, it seems the leadership consists of primarily lawyers with some economists (even in the cabinet, the majority are still politicians and lawyers), and the entire political systems are based around legislation.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel more comfortable with experts in several fields leading a country than with lawyer after lawyer with the occasional businessman.

In China, for example, the last 3 presidents have been electrical and chemical engineers. And in office there are several scientists, mathematicians, economists, and linguists. On top of that, they often get doctorates in other fields to broaden their scope of expertise.

I'm curious what other countries put doctors and scientists into power rather than lawyers and politicians.

1: The politicians won't do anything, elect a politician time and time again, see your country go to shit and then expect the new politicians to bring real change. They are not public servants, they serve themselves. Re electing the ones who caused the problem won't change the problem.

2: Where does he not have real policies? Just a few days ago he made a speech on his foreign policy and he's planning to do more and more of these indepth speeches. And he's only speaking the truth when he says that all his suggested changes are just that, suggested. He's not lying like other politicians when they say they'll do exactly this or exactly that, he's speaking the truth saying that there will be compromises because it is a democracy, and he doesn't want to be undemocratic like Obama signing executive orders to bybass the democratic process.

3: He doesn't give a shit about his enemies, do you want a leader who lays in bed with his enemies and shuts out his allies? Where have you seen that he doesn't give a shit about people? Have you seen him disrespecting fellow americans who are undecided on the vote? Have you seen him disrespect americans who won't vote for him, BUT who also doesn't violently "protest" outside his rallies, burning american flags and assaulting people? Watch interviews where the interviewer lets the audience ask Trump questions.

Slightly off topic but how is Seattle as a place to live? I'm considering it for my next move

don't do it. rent is way too expensive. it's a cool place to live and all, but unless you're making 40k a year as a minimum it's just not worth it.
