just the school, not the state, I think they're more suited for the MW considering their location, recruiting, and essentially their program, it just doesn't compare to the Pac-12 schools.

In fact I have a whole list of reasons why I think Hawaii and Boise State should be in their instead of Colorado

I agree for football they shouldn't be in there but for other sports i think we definitely belong there

you want my reasons why Hawaii would make an excellent Pac-12 team?

Yes considering they might cut their football program after this year. Yes

in fact tbh, there's more reasons for Hawaii to go to Pac-12 than Boise State, granted regionally BS fits, the only other reason for BS is stronger schedule.

woah holy shit for real? A few years ago they were one of the best teams the year nobody at the end of the season was undefeated I think LSU won the title at 9-2?
For starters, it's Hawaii, one of the biggest tourist states we have
i can play football in hawaii? fuck yeah why not, i'd be in tropical paradise
Aloha Stadium, home of the Pro Bowl
farthest they'd have to travel is either to the Arizona's or Washington, instead LA Tech and Wyoming, so healthier players
Lots of rich people in Pac-12, I know for a fact that fans of any team get the opportunity to choose 1 away game a year, Hawaii is on schedule, fuck yeah, VACATION AND FOOTBALL!
With that last statement, visiting fans support the Hawaii program, AND support the tourist economy that is Hawaii.
to go back on playing football in Hawaii, it's not that far to travel from Cal or any part of the Western US.
In essence, unlike Colorado, it's a win win on every fashion, better players, more money for team, program, and state, vacation opportunities, and more!

Plus how are other teams going to feel about giving Hawaii millions of dollars for going 1-11 every year. At least Colorado is good at basketball and Utah is a bowl worthy team.

I think that 1-11 is only temporary unlike Colorado, whom I feel are going to be bad for a long time

No, they went 4-8 last year are overhauling their facilities with millions of dollars. Give them 3 years and I could see them going 6-6. Will they ever win a conference title? Maybe decades from now but as for right now they aren't as bad as people think they are.

they can't even beat their instate rival, a MW team

CSU won a bowl game last year and are trending up. Believe me I am not saying Colorado is good I'm just saying the have more potential than Hawaii

if I was a Pac-12 fan and I wanted to visit 1 away game a year, I wouldn't choose Boulder...

I wouldn't either but that's where Stanford, ASU, and Washington come in.

But Hawaii is more beautiful, see my point ;D?

#32759 - nachoiscool (08/31/2014) [-]
Yes, but not beautiful enough to weigh down the rest of the conference and shoutout to Melvin Gordon Wisconsin vs LSU is a pretty good game so far

True and yeah LSU won it with a 10-2 record. Fucking sec but that's a different story.
All the stuff you said is true but the biggest point is that Hawaii simply doesn't have a strong or consistent fan base. It might be cool giving the pac 12 teams an extra game to help them get bowl eligible but aside from that I don't think it outweighs Hawaii own problems. If ucla or Oregon goes to play Hawaii not many people are going to show up. Maybe with the tv revenue they get Hawaii might get a half decent team but playing in a 9 game conference schedule with pac 12 team basically guarantees they will be a bottom feeder.
