uberbunk (08/18/2015) [-] **uberbunk used "*roll picture*"** **uberbunk rolled image** Both ideas are inherently wrong, I agree. Totalitarian Communism for obvious reasons, using a harmonious utopia as a crutch for what is basically fascism that is always a "temporary solution" just to get us over the next hump, and then Marxist Communism because it implies that mankind will naturally gel into the sort of beings that fit Marx's ideal, share everything without jealous fear and envious competition which are both very human traits. You can't really just assume mankind will fit your perfect mold, doesn't take account for those who don't and leaves too much room for exploitation. You need safeguards, naturally, it must be based more in a progress than in decay to counter the natural decay that will occur, but you still need to appeal more to the sort of people that actually live, not only those you think ought to. | ||

actionhirvi (08/18/2015) [-] Lol. You make assumption that I think x, y or z just because I pointed out that a notorious right wing fascist was in fact a fascist instead of a communist. A idiot proof difference here: Fascism = extreme right wing. Communism = extreme left wing. Fascism is only a political term. PS. How in your sick mind does the leader of the most notorious fascist country be a communist? THe really strange thing is that the term Facism could also apply to Stalin. It was a Totalitarian Regime where everyone who said otherwise was imprisoned It's interesting to think that the Extreme Far Left and the Extreme Far Right are closer together then we think #168 -
actionhirvi (08/18/2015) [-] We have to remember that extremities are never too far from each other. In the end they are all driven by the vocal minority, which most likely want power. #139 -

uberbunk (08/17/2015) [-] **uberbunk used "*roll picture*"** **uberbunk rolled image** Seeing as how they posted a picture of Marx, I assume they meant Marx's Communism, which was not the totalitarian state often associated with the word due to the Soviet use of it. Then again the confusion could have easily been avoided if they had just said "Marxism", but if they happen to actually be a Marxist it would make sense that they would see Marxism as the true form of Communism and refer to it as such. #122 -
thepsycho (08/17/2015) [-] Of course, and it's understandable, but then that becomes a comparison between a system that existed and a system that didn't. I've seen many people unironically say 'But true communism was never tried!', even though close to a hundred years passed since then, which leads to the logic that maybe there's something that prevented it from happening all the time, a critical flaw that makes it impossible to execute. With that in mind, such system is inherently bad, and even saying 'inherently' is wrong due to the fact that it can't even be carried out to show the flaws in execution. Bottom line, Communism sucks in all of its aspects, because the bad ones are exploited with millions dying, and the good ones can never be executed due to flaws in the theory stage. #164 -
