I'll give you the plot of the entire story: After WWII the time frame split from our current time frame. Everything was a 1950's norm/style up until 2077> Leading up to the nuclear war. Earth was falling apart the EU was fighting with the Shittle East, The U.S. was at war with China. The U.S. managed to discover Micro Fusion to take off the dependability on oil, but that didn't happen in time to stop the war with China. Which was caused by an oil rig incident. So the Chinese invaded Alaska, which is detailed in Op. Anchorage with the US army,. Then The U.S, Marines invaded mainland china.after 7 years of fighting the Chinese lost in Alaska, With the U.S.'s innovation with T51b power armor, they were sweeping through China. At this time everyone knew that a nuclear holocaust would come. That is when Vault-tec started making vaults. But get this only a handful were meant to preserve humanity. The rest were social experiments conducted by the enclave, a secret U.S. government group, tasked with controlling the post apocalyptic country. When the bombs dropped everyone go to thier vaults/shelters. the vault you live in FO3 was never mean, to open, EVER. and thats the story. If you want I can give a plot up to FO:NV

Wow what I wrote is confusing. I played fallout 3 first, then NV, but I guess if you wanna play them in order it's kinda obvious. But he is asking about NV/3.

Fallout 3 is what you should get first. The game begins with you in a vault, which is how people survived the nukes, it's a giant underground government facility. Your father is one day missing and you escape the vault to find him. And so begins the main game.
9/10 Personally, play the game on the highest difficulty the second time around, it makes it much more enjoyable.
Fallout: New Vegas begins with the player delivering a package to New Vegas. He is intercepted, unfortunately, by the great khans and a man named Benny, who shoots you in the head and leaves you in a shallow grave for dead. You wake up in goodsprings, a small town, brought by a securitron robot named victor, where a man named Doc Mitchell has saved your life. After some tests you leave for the open world to find benny. But it's much more complex than that.
8/10 For me, even though I loved it just as much as the other game, it felt kinda same-ey. But give it a try anyways, it's pretty awesome too.

Then what are fallout 1 and fallout2 about?

The story has taken some parts from the Fallout and Fallout 2 stories, and is for the most part unrelated to its predecessor, Fallout 3.

Fallout: New Vegas takes place in 2281, four years after the events of Fallout 3, and thirty-nine years after Fallout 2. The New California Republic plays a major part in the game's story, being in a three-way struggle amongst the Caesar's Legion slavers, and the mysterious Mr. House.

The Courier, the player's character, was meant to deliver a package from Primm to New Vegas. However, the Courier is intercepted by the Great Khans and Benny, who shoots him and takes the package, leaving the Courier for dead in a shallow grave. The Courier is later found by a robot named Victor, and is sent to the settlement of Goodsprings, where Doctor Mitchell saves his life. After the Courier is given some medical tests, the player is pushed back into the open world, and the quest, Ain't That a Kick in the Head, begins. Fallout: New Vegas has a definitive ending, unlike Fallout 3.

Endings for Fallout: New Vegas, are dependent on what actions the player took via quests during the game, with separate endings being shown for each major location, political faction, and recruitable companion.

Do the game(s) have multiplayer? And if so, is it any good?
User avatar #244 - ghostluver (07/06/2012) [-]
Well unfortunatly, non of the games thus far have multiplayer. But with the campaign/storyline you dont really need a multiplayer.

User avatar #272 - koalasonfire (07/06/2012) [-]
Looked alright, but it's like the elder scrolls mmo, set in the same world yet totally different.
User avatar #274 - ghostluver (07/06/2012) [-]
i mean like what would we be able to do? a massiv online of just running around killing people, or like a coopertive storyline.

Well, actually they have to fill the machine manually. It does not compile the bricks by itself. It takes about 1-2 workers to assemble the pattern. The machine only lowers it gently to a horizontal level.

reference: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkVBg_-OviI

It actually is a good thing for the people, since it would take around the same amount of people to lay a sidewalk of this size in decent time. This machine provides a more comfortable position to work in. Regular streetbrick layers have to worl on their hands and knees placing the stones while this machine allows for the layers to work in a far more comfortable position. One of my acquaintances specializes in this field and he has been doing it for many years. Sometimes he complains about his hurting back and knees and he tells me it is because of the work.

So I think it is not that bad a machine.

True but look at the big area it covers. so instead of say 5 guys to take 10 hours now its two guys and would take much much less time so maybe like 1 hour.

Thats alot less earning money because of shorter hours and for alot less people so less money goes out to employees and into the owners pockets

that is true, i posted the picture because its an unfortunate theme to see on here..a picture girl who has slight curves automatically fills the comment section with things about how fat..gross..etc..
which could be true..they could think that..its just people are incredibly harsh about body image..and too often girls are insecure about their own because media and society put such a negative light on it.

a woman of any size can be beautiful..it has little to do with shape and more to do with their level of class and self respect
