In your example that is a case of knowledge. Not only knowledge, but knowledge obtained via profession. This puzzle is a test of perception and common sense. Its a puzzle and would take time for an average person to see all 40. Thats probably an average. I'm sure portions of the year are more inclined to conception, therefore putting other parts of the year at a higher birth rate. most of the days probably have 10 mil, some might hatve 20, others even 30

It actually has a plot. It's a very confusing anime. I dropped it at the end of season one because it is very repetitive because people seem to (SPOILER I GUESS.) resurrect all the time.
