Norway is red flag and Sweden is the Blue one.
Norway and Sweden used to be vikings but now they're just socialists.
Norway has a lot of oil and Sweden want's to go to war to get the oil even thought it has plenty of oil of it's own but doesn't remember how because the last of it's viking blood has been stolen by Muslims.
This is an exact replica of the discussion between the Norwegian ambassador and a Swedish clone of Hitler that took place last week.
#51 - anonymous (03/16/2015) [-]
You didn't mention that for a while Norway was in a personal union under Sweden with the same monarch. Now that Norway is independent and found lots of oil Sweden is jelly and wants union back.

The hub area in general could've had more time in the cooker. Signs for the different areas. Set spots for all the mentors. Places for NPC other chars to hang out, if just to see them. Something generally smaller, maybe.

But oh well. Maybe XV2.

I agree with all that. In XV2 though, I think I'd be cool with them going full diablo 3 and forgoing any pvp aspect and focus on some really awesome coop missions. Include Fusions with player characters, which sounds ridiculous, but it's possible.

- Players each set 2 special moves and 1 ultimate to be used in a fusion, so your fused character would have a full moveset.

- Combines all the stats of your characters, then takes 75% of all of it. That way you're much stronger than on your own, but it's more balanced than just having a straight up 200 blast power.

- Fusion lasts however long, let's say 1 minute. Each player controls the character for 30 seconds, with an indicator at the top showing who's controlling first, and who will be second.

I haven't even bothered to try PvP. The game model isn't built for something like that. But making OCs was fun and the mentor system was fun when you could at least find the one you wanted.

Yea, having mentors random is just... stupid. In my opinion, at least. I think having the mentors and bonus PQ givers (like Raditz and Nappa) hang around permanently would have really livened up the hub world. I loved seeing Nappa and Raditz in the main area, until I needed to do their mission and they disappeared forever.

And no, the game is absolutely not designed for pvp. The PvE is a shitload of fun with friends, but even attempting the PvP is just asking for anger.

Yeah, I've never heard of mentors coming in to help. But then again, I pretty much ALWAYS play PQ's with my mentors since I was working on getting them all up. That's pretty awesome, though.

Unfortunately the grinding has killed that game for me, though. I haven't played it in awhile since I wanted to get some specific gear for people, but it just takes way too long.
User avatar #94 - themightymrplow (03/15/2015) [-]
Yea, I gave up on Android 16's gear because of that. I got 3 of each piece of gear but the chest just wouldn't drop. RNG is fucking annoying in that game, but at least you know what you have to do for it. I've played Diablo 3 a shitload and I've still not gotten the entire Immortal Kings set.

The PvP killed it for me. Everyone is a douche and there's just no point.

Oh trust me, I know. I first trained with Vegeta and mastered that training, then I found out I could have Ginyu. Even though I've mastered his training weeks ago, he's still the only person I have selected. Keyta there is my character I made. I wanted him to be like a lost member of the Ginyu Force. The character is all about style, baby. Poses, and some self sacrificing moves for my teammates.

Also, I assume it's only Ginyu because I've never heard anyone mention it with other mentors, but sometimes if I'm fighting a PQ and I get low, Ginyu will just fly in and say something like "My student's troubles are my troubles!" and just start helping me. He's the best.

I love Dragon Ball Z a lot, but there's a lot of fairly shallow characters in the show. They just are held too rigidly to their niches at times. But Vegito is able to pull off a much stronger personality thanks all the aspects Goku and Vegeta have and bring together. He's playful, but smart. Cocky, but also critical. That's why I love him so much. He feels like a full character. And one I love a lot.

I watched it growing up and between then and now I was pretty set on Teen Gohan being my favorite character. The whole Cell fight really struck a chord with me as a kid. After playing Xenoverse and rewatching it, though, I'm not sure. I love so many of the character it's insane. I definitely get what you mean about Vegito, but I feel like there are a ton of full character personalities in the show, and it's hard to choose.

Ginyu Force, though. I love them, and the very idea of them. So, so much. Especially Burter. He's always been my favorite Ginyu Force member.

Also, I assume it's only Ginyu because I've never heard anyone mention it with other mentors, but sometimes if I'm fighting a PQ and I get low, Ginyu will just fly in and say something like "My student's troubles are my troubles!" and just start helping me. He's the best.

User avatar #95 - potaravegito (03/15/2015) [-]
I haven't even bothered to try PvP. The game model isn't built for something like that. But making OCs was fun and the mentor system was fun when you could at least find the one you wanted.
User avatar #96 - themightymrplow (03/15/2015) [-]
Yea, having mentors random is just... stupid. In my opinion, at least. I think having the mentors and bonus PQ givers (like Raditz and Nappa) hang around permanently would have really livened up the hub world. I loved seeing Nappa and Raditz in the main area, until I needed to do their mission and they disappeared forever.

And no, the game is absolutely not designed for pvp. The PvE is a shitload of fun with friends, but even attempting the PvP is just asking for anger.
User avatar #97 - potaravegito (03/15/2015) [-]
The hub area in general could've had more time in the cooker. Signs for the different areas. Set spots for all the mentors. Places for NPC other chars to hang out, if just to see them. Something generally smaller, maybe.

But oh well. Maybe XV2.
User avatar #98 - themightymrplow (03/15/2015) [-]

User avatar #99 - potaravegito (03/15/2015) [-]
Maybe. It would be neat to see fusions somehow. Would be tough, but I'm sure they could try things out and see how it'd come up.

well clearly someone is choosing not to be a bro. Unless they live in the same town I don't see what he could hope to gain by heeding her wishes in this case. But whatever. At this point I'm over it. There are enough women who make empty promises or will lead you on in real life so I'm damn sure not gonna fret over one behind a screen.

User avatar #203 to #202 - themightymrplow (10/18/2012) [-]
In her lore, she constantly butts heads with Gangplank: 2.bp.blogspot.com/-BEPsEIlqwwU/TtBIAaw0hLI/AAAAAAAABbU/pPL-VGbauD4/s1600/Gangplank_Splash_0.jpg

He'd be perfect to fill that position.
#204 to #203 - yeahitsmitch (10/18/2012) [-]
Well I was already drawing a random bearded dude so I guess Gangplank kinda fits in perfectly.
User avatar #205 to #204 - themightymrplow (10/18/2012) [-]
Wow this picture is coming along great. I'm very excited to see the finish result. What are your steps to drawing stuff like this from scratch?
User avatar #206 to #205 - yeahitsmitch (10/18/2012) [-]
I draw tiny stick figures first to get a pose I want that looks good, kinda dynamic, but natural (i.e. the person isn't twisting in a weird way) then I start fleshing out the anatomy of the character and from there I look up reference material for costumes, etc.
User avatar #207 to #206 - themightymrplow (10/18/2012) [-]
Have an example of the stick figures? I've never done that.

Sorry for all the questions, bro. I just don't do drawing from my head like I want to be able to, so I could use some help, ya know?
#208 to #207 - yeahitsmitch (10/18/2012) [-]
I pretty much went with my first figure drawing for this picture so I dont have a stick figure of it, but this is one of the mini sketches I did for another drawing. I draw them with light blue pencils that are erasable because they dont really show up on scans. But that's why they are kinda hard to see.
User avatar #209 to #208 - themightymrplow (10/18/2012) [-]
Huh, neat. Maybe I should start trying that.
#211 to #209 - yeahitsmitch (10/18/2012) [-]
I'm heading out to a friend's house but here's as far as I got with the pic. I'll take my sketchbook with me in case I can draw some there. I'll talk to you later man.

User avatar #210 to #209 - yeahitsmitch (10/18/2012) [-]
Yeah there's two methods I've seen, one is you start off everything with stick figures and build on them and the other is just a really messy, sketchy approach. I switch up between the two. But as long as you have a good idea of anatomy, you can do a stick figure in any pose and build on it.
User avatar #199 to #198 - yeahitsmitch (10/17/2012) [-]
I'll have to update with pics from my phone cause I dont have access to a scanner right now, but I'll get started.
User avatar #193 - yeahitsmitch (10/14/2012) [-]
I'm pretty much done with my pic...I don't think I can do too much more to it. I'll scan and upload later.
#189 - yeahitsmitch (10/13/2012) [-]
This is some of Turner's first work, back when he was around 19. It's good, but not great. So it takes time and dedication to reach the level he was at.
User avatar #190 to #189 - themightymrplow (10/13/2012) [-]
Wow, it's so different! You can definitely see that he hadn't found his own style yet.
User avatar #191 to #190 - yeahitsmitch (10/13/2012) [-]
Yep. I think he originally wanted to ski or something but then broke his leg and took up drawing as a hobby. He was fortunate that his mom was friends with the owner of Dark HOrse comics, and she showed him some of the work so they got him to stay with a few other artists to keep drawing so he was pretty lucky to train with good artists at that time. I scanned that from a book about his life.
