One girl may have done it for attention or whatever, but another girl might have had sex and got pregnant and she panicked and claimed rape, but later to realize they were stupid and feel guilty about it and come clean. We should discourage girls from crying rape, i am behind that 100%, but I think the focus should more be on telling the effect that falsely accusing a guy could have on his life, and the reasons WHY crying rape is wrong, not just using social pressure or what could almost be described as a sense of bullying, its just unnecessary. | ||

theloneleybench (04/25/2013) [-] Mmm but from what I understand, the whole not coming forward thing is more about being fearful of her attacker, or having to relive the trauma, or being shunned by family or friends who believe her claims are false or that she deserved it. And I think the girls who cry rape do understand that, they are just vindictive selfish bitches with no idea of the effect their claims could have on someone elses life. I just believe that this add, whilst it's message is positive on it's own, you have to take into consideration the different ways it could be interpreted, and that it could play a part in promoting a culture wherein people are scared to come forward with real rape allegations. #254

theloneleybench (11/01/2012) [-] Uh to be honest, it started right after I had just been royally screwed over by a guy (been on and off for 2 years, he got a new girlfriend which i found out on facebook) self esteem was very vey low, I dont know, I guess I just wanted the attention maybe? It's not very clear even to me either to be honest. I liked the response I got and i kept posting occasionally when I felt like it... And I can assure you that in real life I do not just hang around in my undies, I'm generally pretty reserved and modest, it's a bit of a change to be the center of attention... is that an ok answer?
