Speaking of which, did you ever get into anime?
Or were you just a brony all the way?

No I've watched some anime's, though I tend to stick with manga. (Easier to just pick up and put down when needed.)

You and me both.
I like to pick up manga when I can but I usually end up wanting to watch the anime of said manga.
More time-consuming and less opportunities for me to be a bored man.

I'm happy to just read the manga, I may watch the anime later but most of the time I don't. There are some thing I prefer the anime then the manga, like Code Geass, Death note, and FMA.

And I just LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to compare the manga to the anime to see what differences there are.
'Cause sometimes the manga and anime will wander in COMPLETELY different directions making two different universes.
Like Soul Eater!

mhm some tend to do that, Love Hina is another that went another route then the anime did so that everyone could get what they loved but with a different story.

Though even I'l admit, overall, I love manga more.
Mainly due to my experiences with the Eva manga.

They tend to be more in depth and can explain a lot more of the story then what an anime can, so you can enjoy it a bit more. Though of course when it comes to anime/manga that have action the manga can't compare to the scenes the anime can pull off.

Exactly!

Eva is a pretty action-based anime for the first half and it gets really philosophical and character centered for the second half.
But the manga's just action-y and has perfect character development all the way through.
All the more reason why it's my favorite thing ever.

Though you do sometimes get things like Death Note with is better in the anime due to the great VA work.

Also something I love about Eva.
The voice work, especially in the Rebuild movies, is VERY well done.
Heck there are a couple scenes in the second one that I still consider brilliant voice work!

mhm that have some good VA's in the show, a good VA work can sometimes make or break an anime.

Yeah, mostly due to it being just about the only Fluttershy x Trixie ship fic and due to it being soooooo cute~ (Maybe people say that the fic alone makes the ship wok.)

Fencing since I was but a child. Judo I took up just recently to get back into fighting.
