Leodan was born in the House of Hiede. The House of Hiede was a relatively small noble house in the north, known only for their craftsmanship that compared to that of the Dwarvish Kingdoms, and their devote worship of Pelor. From Leodan's young age he had always been fascinated with the world outside his family's hold. He often accompanied his father on trips to the Mountain Kingdoms of the Dwarves. While his father attended to his business of ensuring trade between his Hold and the Dwarvish Kingdom, young Leodan would run about the city exploring and meeting the Dwarvish people. Through out his time in the Dwarvish Kingdom he became fluent in the native tongue of the Dwarves, and became quite familiar with their culture. When Leodan was not out exploring the surrounding lands, he was at home where he was schooled in the history of the Noble families, including his own. He also learned about the teachings of Pelor, as his family were devout worshipers of Pelor. When he became of age his father gave to him a halerd of his own making, and gave him his blessing to go out and discover the world and spread the word of Pelor. For the first year Leodan traveled and stayed in the Dwarvish Kindom where he became adapt with the halberd and furthered his understanding of the Dwarvish People. It was also here that he became rather fond of Dwarvish Mead. After living among the Dwarves for a year Leodan set out again to spread the word of Pelor. After two years of travel he came to a small town. He goes to the local inn and gets a room for the night. When he awaken's he finds himself in a small very dark room with all of his things. He hears something shuffling around in the room with him, and the sound of muffled movement outside of the room.
