Depends on the grenade. If there's a handle, the grenade isn't hot until the handle is released. The pin merely holds the handle in place.

In the picture is a variation of the M-67 Fragmentation Grenade.
The pin, in this case, is a fold-over that holds the handle in place.
The "trigger," as you can see, is actually the handle and not the pin. Think of the pin a a safety switch.

If you hold that handle on the side, you can put the pin back in on some models.

the ending you showed me was amazing but i wish i didn't have to end i feel like i have lost a part of me, i say you must also read the sisterhood epilogue which fits nicely between the original good ending and this epilogue i covers the time before they live school and mehkaniks epilogue continues it very well but i do wish that it went on for longer, in conclusion you should defiantly read both, i cannot say which is better as they seem to work together, i hope you enjoy them as much as i have
