A man weighs 100 pounds on Earth. On the moon, the same man will weigh ~65 pounds.

Mass does not change, period, as it's a defined amount of atoms in an object.

Mass is not Pounds.

No in scientific terminology a mass is universally measured in kg, which can be converted to pounds, whereas weight (a force) is measured in newtons.

Welcome to the world of digital downloading. No. You do not actually own ANY of the game you bought. You own a license to play the game. Same as with Steam. Or the games you would buy digitally on the Xbox Marketplace or PSN. You have to ask yourself if you're okay with it. I am. As long as the DRM doesn't get in the way and I have enough time to enjoy the game I'm happy. But you have to know that you do not OWN the game. That's why people are still fighting hard to keep physical media around. If you own the disc then you can play it forever. But a sever gets shut down and your HDD crashes then you lose the game you "bought."

That's the whole point. Digital Rights Management. It's to make sure you have the right to play the game. Most games it's a piece of code hidden in the game files that do a check then stop you if it figures out you pirated it. But when half the game isn't in your game files, you can't just make a patch. You have to spoof a connection to a false sever, but then you wouldn't have the right files to PUT in that server.

So you dont technically own the whole game? So in 10 year time when there are no servers, or you forget your password can you not play anymore, even though you own the game?

For what? Sim City? There won't be a pirated version. Most of the calculations are done on their servers. same reason Diablo 3 will never be pirated.
