How are you scared of bees? If they're not africanised, they're both docile and harmless. Not to mention freakin'-adorably bumbly.
Ever seen an up-close bumblebee? Sofuckingcute.api

I'm deathly allergic. Deathly allergic, and I love those honeymaking bastards. I'd be an apiarist, but I live next to a school so the council (cunts) said no to my permit. This makes me sad because they're simply glorious.

Nothing about my post was intended to 'belittle' you. If you inferred that, then that's a factor of your perception, not my intention.

And, I've been on this website a little longer than you, so I'm just as aware as you (if not more so) about what this site is all about.

Perhaps my sense of humor differs from yours. That's the nature of the world. It doesn't make mine right or yours wrong, or vice versa.

But for that last part you promised, that would probably be best. You've taken this far too seriously.

No self-esteem issues here. Why, you think there are because I chose to take a moment to reply, but not in a manner that you deem 'appropriate', that implies self-esteem issues on my part? Amusing.

most americans are so misinformed about their own politics that they are easilly manipulated.
no offense but... no matter what party you choose. you'll probably not actually know the consequences of that vote.

for example. taxes =/= less money for the poor.
while everyone pays taxes. it is also known that this goes over a percentage of a person's income, households, possession and more. a poor person has less and will then obviously pay less.
Afterwards if enough money has been collected by the goverment, they will be able to increase the amount of jobs on the market, take care of workers who got laid off. get affordable healthcare for everyone and much more.

so where a poor person would normally earn maybe $2000 he may now earn only $1300. however. to live without those taxes it may cost $1500 every month. but WITH taxes it may only cost $500. in the end. you'd have a $300 increase of money that you can spend despite earning less. ofcourse these are fictional numbers but the idea still stands. it's just that american people are not educated enough to understand how taxes work and where they are invested in.

I do not blame the people for the lack of knowledge. I blame the government for keeping their own people in the dark.
the left video you linked just confirmed it to me too. he skillfully explains just enough to convince you but not enough to properly educate you.

once again. I do not blame you... but I urge you to research further on where both parties want to spend their money on. and where the money comes from. go deep.
User avatar #48 - itembox (09/21/2014) [-]
Less taxes = less money for the poor.
We know this, they know this, everyone knows this.
It's because only the upper half of Americans actually pay taxes. The rest either don't or if they do have that money returned in some other way. T

That's why cutting taxes gives money to the rich, which isn't bad because guess who runs the companies that give out the paychecks to the 50% that due pay taxes. I'm not saying the rich would pay their own employees more with tax cuts but they may hire more people and spend more money, which supports those who work.

Walter E Williams - Minimum Wage as a Racist Tool
Milton Friedman - Case Against Equal Pay for Equal Work Anti discrimination laws are often counter productive.

Summary of second vid: the example was for women but it still applies
Imagine 2 people, a white and a black, exactly the same. Same education, same work history, same ethical principles, etc. But you have a racist employer. If both workers are the same price, the employer will lean more towards hiring the white person because he believes he is getting a better deal. The only thing the black person can do is be willing to work for less. When you have a law than mandates equal pay, you take away the only tool that minorities have to compete.

It's not a coincidence that black unemployment is nearly twice as high as white unemployment.

That's like EPA laws protecting (let's say eagles).
The law will say a farmer can't use his land within 100 ft of the nest, so in reaction the farmer would just shoot the bird and bury it.
But without that law the farmer would farm his land and the eagle would stay in his nest.

They put on the face of being for minorities. They do all the right stuff to look like they are, but their policies tend to be the ones that actually hurt the most. They have the solutions that look good but suck. Republicans have the solutions that look shitty to minorities, and also suck. Neither party is truly for the minorities.
User avatar #16 - thehornedking (09/20/2014) [-]
I agree they screw minorities over, just in differing ways. those days were about directly controlling minorities through violence and intimidation, but since the parties flipped ideologies they have been all about getting minorities hooked onto social programs that teach dependence on the government and discourage self improvement. This is why Native Americans have such a high poverty rate.
