The video really acted as evidence to back your opinion up, and just letting me review it first let me give my reaction rather than having to have you explain it your way.
Damn, you're good at getting your point across.

so if you dress like a thug it gives the cops permision to kill you? here's the thing that bother me the most ,if the cop killed a well dressed young white man it would be all over the news and the cop will be punished with the full force of the law but since it was a black thug the cop could scape punishment by claiming self defense of an unarmed dude , and leaving all niggers and shit like that aside, there's a reason we have judges and court

That situation was textbook. That is what escalation of force is about. Sadly some cops get too complacent and let things escalate to fast and they die because of it.
User avatar #104 - theguyweallhate (08/29/2014) [-]
So basically what you're saying is that cops need to be able to find a medium between escalating force too quickly and escalating it too slowly.
If they don't react fast enough they could die and if they react too quickly someone who doesn't need to die could die.
Which kind of just leaves us in a place where naturally there will be errors sometimes and either one will happen.
So I just gotta wonder if there even IS a way to stop situations like this from happening.
Seems like the only way to stop this is, like we've already discussed, better training?

Yes but one can argue that if the person was white it wouldn't have come to that, let's assume that a well dressed young man engage in the same behavior, the cop would have reacted in the same way? im not affirming that it was racial im just saying that is a strong posibility,
User avatar #102 - theguyweallhate (08/29/2014) [-]
Well if that was the situation and the cop didn't kill this 'well dressed white male' then I suppose there wouldn't really be a news story would there?
If it really is a racial thing and this alternate scenario would not end the same way then really you have to deal with the whole picture of black or thug stereotypes and the way that cops would respond to that compared to how they would respond to a properly dressed person or a white person.

Compared to what I know about the situation with Michael Brown it definitely seems like the cop handled himself well in this situation.
He used the non-lethal weapon first and then use the lethal solution when he realized that he was in a possibly fatal situation himself.
I'm not sure what YOU want me to get from this, but I could now say that the Michael Brown situation seemingly could have stopped at just tasing instead since it sounds like Brown didn't have anything to threaten the cop mortally and the cop probably had some non-lethal measure on him.
