Watch the video again, you'll notice that it doesn't seem to matter whether the leaf touches the antenna, the stalk, or an entire branch of leaves, it all sounds the same. If the plant is acting as a speaker, wouldn't you expect different plants to sound differently? A stem should sound different than a leaf, 10 leaves burning should sound different than one, etc. I mean hell, if plants sound that good why do we even pay for quality speakers?

I propose that the plants burning off of the antenna is real, but the radio transmission is being played by one of the pranksters every time they touch the antenna.

As an additional option, perhaps he's holding a speaker in his other hand, and the plant is acting as a wire as the signal goes through the plant, through his arms, to the speaker

Truthfully, I don't understand this 100%, but I can see it being possible. Everything in the universe is capable of vibration and resonating. It may seem odd, but that plant is an antenna, and is resonating to a very similar frequency of the tower. Mind you the plant can only get one channel. So I hope you can understand Russian, Slovak, etc.? (Sorry can't tell them apart)
