You make a string of codes telling the calculator to either type on the home screen or draw on the graph and then tell it to clear and redraw or type. For example a simple string of code would look like:
clear home;
x=0;
for(x<=40)(
x -> (x+1);
display output(4,5,"Hello!"));
stop;

My friend and I taught ourselves how to program on those calculators and it kicked ass. Learn C language and you can have your calculator do calculus for you. I made a program where I enter in a few numbers and it would display everything I need to write. Obviously I learned calculus well enough to make this....but now I forgot some and can still do it.

I remember thinking about trying to make a super simple program but then I didn't... and then I found 20 bucks.
