Well the way in which you wrote your statement was open ended. "Why would you buy the significantly more expensive sealed version of A game instead of a used one?" If you didn't want anyone taking that statement the wrong way, then you probably should have written it in such a way that identified the Zelda game in question.

so if i were to buy my "insert fancy t-shirt brand here" then i shouldn't use it since it costs tons of money?
that is flawed logic bro, you should just keep it closed if you are planning on selling it and not playing in it, i would totally buy the zelda version of the 3ds had i had money to even buy a normal one, and i would play the shit out of it

the problem with your comparison is that in my example you are getting the exact same product.

If i could buy a coy of a game for 60$ i would not buy the 300$ sealed version just to break it open.

Don't buy things with extraordinarily inflated value (for being sealed) just to open them if there are identical alternatives.

A closer example if you wanted to use the shirt analogy is at the store you can buy a shirt off the shelf for 15$, sure people might have picked it up and tried it on but it's still fine. Or they offer to go get you one still in the box in the back room for 75$. Would you seriously consider buying the boxed shirt?

my logic isn't flawed your making shit comparisons

The problem here isn't buying sealed games its buying sealed games that are considered a collectors items(just to open them), Go ahead and buy the 3ds version, its still relatively recent and you can get a 3ds with the game sealed for less than the original game the comment was about.

Because most new games come with codes these days...if you are going to make a point at least make it a good point

we are talking about a specific game, dont bring up something unrelated completely.

The original comment we are talking about is saying that opening a zelda masters collection for the gamecube is ridiculous. Which it is.

You can easily find copies for 60$ opened. A sealed one sells for at least 300$.

Why would you go buy a 300$ one just to open it, the fact that most games you now need to buy new has zero impact on this purchase.

why do you buy different colored clothes?
#79 - theevilmonk (09/08/2015) [-]
We are talking about a difference in price of 60$ vs 300$, if a colored shirt over a grey shirt was 10$ to 50$ i sure as hell wouldn't buy a colored shirt.

Buying a sealed copy of this game just to open it is throwing away hundreds of dollars for no reason.
