I never said he asked for sympathy, this was posted with expectation of sympathy thumbs. If someone chooses to go into a line of work which involves being away from family why should I have any sympathy for when they are away from family? I never said I hated you.

thedethangel is right, you know... Just be careful. Highers are getting pretty picky about what is OPSEC and what you don't have to worry about.

I understand the pain and sacrifice. But people act like those serving are far better people than the rest of us. Like I said before. I respect those who fight, but to fight for today's American Government isnt an honor, it is a joke. If things were different I would have gladly signed up, but I would never want to fight for Bush or Obama.

We didn't sign up to fight for Bush, Obama, Uncle Sam, or the bald fucking eagle. Trust me when I say the vast majority of the military UTTERLY DESPISES Obama and everything he stands for. We all signed up for different reasons, some more admirable than others, but at the end of the day, they're going to make a patriot out of you, and you're going to want to do you job for your fellow Americans, particularly friends and family. And honestly, I can see that you're an intelligent person, but for you to think that fighting for America's current government is any less of an honor than say, 50 years ago, I implore you to rethink your stance on that. We serve because someone has to. None of us like the government, but if we pitched a hissy fit and didn't join/re-enlist because we didn't like the government, there would be no American government at all. But as far as other people thinking that service members are better people than others, look at it this way: You pull up to a gas station to put gas in your car, but you have no cash and your card unexpectedly doesn't work. You don't have enough gas to get home, so 1 guy out of a group of people walks up and hands you a 20 dollar bill. You're going to think that guy is great. It's not that you think the other people WOULDN'T have done it. It's just that he's the only one that did. Sorry that was so long.

You can find everything I said by the PUBLIC Documents on Gov. Sites. (Hint AR 670-1).
Except for the hidden SGT thing, but....that doesn't really fall under OPSEC....unless I gave a date, time, place....(you see where im going.)

Alright, man. It's your call, but I will warn you that I've seen a PFC get NJP'd for something very similar. I'll trust that you know what you're doing though.
