All that is true. But you said "no one can really win against Deadpool", and I just provided an example.

And yeah, the Thanos-buster mech is way overkill on anything that isn't Thanos. That's why it's only been shown once (to my knowledge), it's simply too powerful to bring out against almost anything else the Guardians face.

What if someone with super strength just straight-up chucked him into the sun? Sure, maybe he'd survive, but he'd kinda be stuck there until the end of time.

Honest question, I know very little about Marvel characters outside of the movies.
User avatar #201 - blueninja (12/14/2014) [-]
well hulk did punch him so hard it obliterated the top half of deadpool. the next page showed dead pool in a full body cast with cap standing over him saying deadpool was to be sent to an asylum for the criminally insane. so the sun might be the only way to kill him
User avatar #95 - wafflecat (12/14/2014) [-]
i'm pretty sure you can kill him the same way as wolverine. behead him, burn the scattered body pieces, keep them and the head very far away from eachother
User avatar #164 - newforomador (12/14/2014) [-]
Nope. He has had the head cut completely off, and still regenerated. I'm not sure whether or not his head and body have to be close to each other to reattach, but he can move his body without his head.
User avatar #193 - wafflecat (12/14/2014) [-]
that takes some skill because like i said you have to keep them far away from each other. he'd need ot know where exactly to move on of his body parts i believe.
#24 - alexanderh (12/13/2014) [-]
Well, since Rocket Raccoon has the Thanos-buster mech, he probably could. It's powerful enough that it could kill thanos (he would get reincarnated, though), or incapacitate him long enough to put him in a stasis field. If Rocket adjusted the power of the plasma blaster, it could incapacitate Deadpool for quite a while, and Rocket could put him in a stasis field, effectively defeating him until someone breaks deadpool out.

He is not unbeatable, and can be defeated "permanently" if his opponent knows what he's doing (stasis field, and dumped somewhere inaccessible to everyone else)
User avatar #25 - thechosentroll (12/13/2014) [-]
Yeah, but no one's going to use Thanatos-level weapons on Deadpool. He's not really a threat to anyone but himself. Yes, you're right, they could defeat him permanently, but no one who has the means to do so gives a flying fuck about Wade.
#26 - alexanderh (12/13/2014) [-]

I am more of a DC person, so I don't have all that knowledge about Marvel, so I have to ask... what are Squirrelgirl's powers? besides, y'now, dressing like a squirrel, I mean, dressing like a squirrel is awesome, but doesn't sound particularly powerful...
User avatar #69 - lyiat (12/13/2014) [-]
The real story is, they decided to do a comic introducing a new character called Squirrelgirl, a simple mutant with powers relating to squirrels. It was played for laughs. She surprised Iron Man and asked for a position on the Avengers, who politely declined. Doctor Doom suddenly appeared and attacked the pair, however, and Squirrelgirl used her empathic link with her squirrel friends to summon a freakin' horde of rodents to swarm Doom, quickly defeating him.

A bunch of people flipped their shit over Doom being beaten by squirrels. Marvel, in return, gave Squirrelgirl the most outrageous power. The stronger her enemy is, the more likely and more easily she is to defeat him. She's an inverse power entity, in a sense. She's defeated Thanos, Fin Fang Foom, and even Ego the Living Planet. The only way to beat her would be to be a weakling.

Marvel did this because they wanted to reclaim the seriousness comics had delved into, they wanted to remind people that levity could still be had. After all, they're comic books.
User avatar #185 - kingarturi (12/14/2014) [-]

"Enhanced strength, speed, agility, and reflexes; small claws and enlarged incisors; retractable knuckle spike; semi-prehensile tail; empathic bond with squirrels, like Monkey Joe and Tippy Toe, can communicate with squirrels."

Her ratings are also all maxed out at seven, making her as strong as Thor and the Hulk, as intelligent as Iron Man and Mr Fantastic, as fast as Quicksilver, as durable as Galactus... so on. Squrrielgirl's special ability is to overcome any threat. Off screen.

User avatar #192 - lyiat (12/14/2014) [-]
Stronger is the key here. The more unlikely it is for her to win, the more powerful and easy it is for her to stomp them. She is the only person in comics who could easily trump Superman.

unless you throw him into the sun.

or a blackhole...

or disable his healing power....remove him from reality all together.or you know...incapacitate him via some other means.
#16 - anonymous (12/13/2014) [-]
pssh, not even those can truly kill deadpool, as thanos granted (cursed) him with immortality, because dedpool was fookin his crush (death that manifested into a woman).
#19 - angelious (12/13/2014) [-]
blackhole and sun would disable him indefinitely as he has no way of getting out of them.

sufficient magic could destroy his curse of immortality and kill him

removing him from existence should be self explanatory
User avatar #39 - heartlessrobot (12/13/2014) [-]
He'd outlast the blackhole.
Magick of sufficient power to remove the curse would likely shatter reality.
He'd shoot the guy that tried to write THAT into his comic book.
#44 - angelious (12/13/2014) [-]
yeah and still lose the fight even if he did outlast it via bfr

and magic strong enough to erase people from existence is not even a high level feat as far as marvel goes.

and you overestimate how strong thanos is without hotu if you think there arent people in fiction who could handwave his curses away.

and if you think deadpool is the only one who knows of the 4th wall and can affect things beyond it then you should read more comics.

also this is why i dont like talking about deadpool in this sort of circumstances. people just think he is undefeatable since he has immortality.
User avatar #45 - heartlessrobot (12/13/2014) [-]
He'd count it as a win and piss on the first cloud of post-end of the world floating atoms that resembles whoever he was fighting
To erase someone from existence that quite literally killed everything in existence would probably end with that being's abortion from the comic
I just hate when people wave around all-powerful characters that take any and all fun or enjoyment out of a story. Yeah, Deadpool might be immortal, but he's just as likely to make 372,844 pancakes as he is to stop, say, a massive nuclear bomb about to vaporize half of florida. Like fucking Spectre, sucking superdweebs dick for almost an entire series.
#48 - angelious (12/13/2014) [-]
aye but in everybodys else eyes. he had lost. b f r

that comic was elseworld story remember. not a canon one. and even so you still overestimate deadpools immortality. the magic that bound him is weaksauce when compared to actual heavy hitters in fiction. heck compared to mid level reality warpers in fiction.

and i hate people who take otherwise good characters and wank them up claiming them to be the hottest shit ever to hit earth.

but fine lets not take "reality warpers" or "supermen"

lets have human versus human fights... mr fantastic could win againts deadpool. he is immune to blades, bullets and punches up to hulks level. and he could easily find a way to shoot deadpool into a blackhole or worse once he had incapacitated him.

batman could easily beat him in combat and seal him up in a cement grave.

wolverine is another one with sufficient skills to do it.

spiderman might, given that there is no plot shielding or pis going around(like with that infamous deadpool kills marvel comic you so loved to mention)

id say iron man would.

and the list goes on.
User avatar #49 - heartlessrobot (12/13/2014) [-]
Isn't he supposed to be a super soldier, on par in strength and speed with wolverine?
#50 - angelious (12/13/2014) [-]
yes. and as that he also has shitload of haxes that makes him a formidable opponent to anybody he faces. and he is smarter than he claims too

and batman has the mind of sun tzu, technology capable of rivalling even level 100 metas for a short while and fighting skills rivalling captain americas.

spiderman has precognition and fighting skills that allows him to go toe to toe with captain america while blind folded, and he has been known to deliver curbstomps of epic proportions to meta humans and high level martial artists whenever he gets serious( aka stop talking and uses his intellect wich according to reeds, reminds him of himself to find ways to defeat his opponent.

wolverine has over 200 years of combat experience, has fought in numerous wars, has regeneration comparable to deadpools own and weaponry to chop him into pieces. tho i admit this one is the one i am the least certain about in the list.

iron man is a genius, a battle master and has a supersuit to augment his fighting abilities. deadpool could maybe bring a challenge, but it would be just a matter of time before stark would win.

mr fantastic, while he has the lowest combat skills in the list he is also the smartest here. and his powers allow him to go againts things like hulk or the thing in combat and emerge alive, even victorious. he is basically what monkey d luffy would be if monkey d luffy was smart and took steroids and wasnt weak to water.
User avatar #51 - heartlessrobot (12/13/2014) [-]
Batman would have to beat his ass pretty quickly, since there's no way he'd win in a drawn out fight
Spiderman and Deadpool are thought to be equal in combat skill and POSSIBLY strength, but spiderman would see every punch before deadpool pulled back to swing. Then again, it's real difficult to predict the moves of someone that doesn't know what he himself is going to do next.
Wolverine has attempted to kill deadpool on multiple occasions, none have been successful.
Yeah, in a fight between Iron Man and Dead Pool, DP would look like swiss cheese in a matter of seconds. But in a comic book setting, DP probably stole the suit the night before and left a slip of paper saying "IOU".
Mr. Fantastic could deliver an asswhooping, however, I'm not sure of the extent of his powers, nor how bullet proof his vital organs are.
#53 - angelious (12/13/2014) [-]
batman has had drawn out fights againts better people than deadpool and won. and yes he would beat his ass pretty quickly(for instance using his expanding foam that he uses to capture low level meta humans(who are still way stronger than deadpool))

spiderman has precognition. he doesnt predict. and he has enough brain powers to use his webs to bring the fight to a quick end. not to mention he is stronger than deadpool.and faster.

because deadpool is immortal. he can still incapacitate him easily.

well aside the fact that starks suit can be disabled and destroyed at will by stark himself im going to remind you that if you allow deadpool prep time then stark gets some aswell. and we all know how that would go.

he is immune to bullets and sharp objects. even wolverine couldnt puncture him with his claws since mr fantastics body just bend out of the way of the blades.not to mention the fact that it takes a punch from an enraged hulk to actually hurt mr fantastic.
User avatar #206 - heartlessrobot (12/14/2014) [-]
Obviously. Because he's the god damned batman

Spiderman and DP have fought. I know on at least 2 occasions, Deadpool has won. Once he knocked out spidy and took his suit to carry out an assassination (he took the mask off right before he shot the guy in the face so people wouldn't think Spidy actually shot someone), and the other time he straight up shot him in the face.

Not sure about that, Wolverine's claws have been knuckle-deep in DPs brain matter and he was still talking.
#207 - angelious (12/14/2014) [-]
first one spidey was tired thanks to chameleon barely being able to talk coherently and even then if i dont recall wrong;deadpool blind sided him. second one was elseworld story where deadpool was protected by plotshield and spideys spidey sense decided to take a vacation. dont take feats out of context my dear friend. it gives you a bad rep.

wolverine can do a lot more than sink his claws on someones face.

say. limbs.

and as for the batman one: no. he would win because he has the equipment and the skills to win a fight againts someone like deadpool. not because of some meme sprouted out by a god awfull comic book series.
User avatar #208 - heartlessrobot (12/14/2014) [-]
The equipment and skills is implied by "he's the god damned batman".
#209 - angelious (12/14/2014) [-]
yes. but people scoff at anybody who tries to pass a meme as a reason someone would win a fight.
User avatar #11 - ScottP (12/13/2014) [-]
Unfortunately while they were both pretty evenly matched, Deadpool had a magical sword that nullified healing factors.

So basically he cheated.
#12 - angelious (12/13/2014) [-]
deadpools healing factor has never been much to look at so claiming a sword that nullifies healing factor is a dumb claim...but yet i dont want to start a flame war with this again...so ill just leave.
User avatar #13 - ScottP (12/13/2014) [-]
No I mean they literally gave him a sword that had the ability to nullify healing. It's apparently what he used to kill Wolverine in "Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe"
#14 - angelious (12/13/2014) [-]
also i messed up my post.

deathstrokes healing factor has never been yadayadayada....

deadpools healing factor however makes him immortal to any physical harm and most magical aswell.

deathstrokes healing factor isnt so big that it would not matter wetheror not deadpool has magical sword or a normal sword.

still my point remains its a dumb reason to give him the victory.

You're a close acquaintance, I guess. That's still not bad.

Today was the first time I felt genuine joy in in a month. I've been trying all semester to exempt myself from as many finals as possible, because those are painful. So far, I've managed to exempt myself from one, I've got an exam later today to exempt myself from another and I just came home after exempting myself from the math finals. My grades in math are an A, an F and a C. The F was an unfortunate accident, so today I went to retake the exam it was on. Instead I got a 15-minute oral exam, which I did amazingly on and got my grade bumped up to a B, which is just enough to not have to take the final. THIS IS AWESOME! I was hoping to maybe get a C-, which isn't enough to exempt me, but it's enough to at least preserve my dignity. Instead I get a B. It took all my willpower to not start jumping and fistpumping on the spot. Suffering and hard work are paying off for likely the first time in my life. I know they gave me this because I go to every lecture and exercise and actively take part. I just know it.

So, this day's off to a good start. Hope it stays that way. Kind of doubt it will, but there's always the off chance that life's feeling lazy and doesn't feel like kicking me in the balls today.

about a female alien with segmented tendrils that can shoot from her back
but the catch is
its comedy
she has a vulgar mouth and a lax attitude
and she hangs out with some nervous antisocial dweeb (think ron stoppable) after crashing on earth trying to escape a ceremony on her home planet
where she's crowned queen
which she doesn't want...

I came up with all of that in a few minutes during a shower but I think the idea is solid.

The outer edge of the city. I think you're confusing vegas for new york.
Vegas is in nevada.

I lived there once ten years ago.
I've been feeling pretty depressed in the past eight months since I moved away from my home in the mojave. My mom doesn't want to go back to california, and I want to go back to the desert so vegas is a good compromise.

More classes is nice and all, but unless they make it like in a DoTA-style game, where you can't have multiple copies of the same character on your team, it's going to be nothing but reapers and widowmakers or whatever the flavor of the month will be, because balancing a game with that many characters (they intend to add a hell of a lot more than the ones shown) is nigh impossible. Even for Blizzard.

Oh yeah, nearly forgot. About university. A bachelors' degree is 4 years. If you major in the same university, your major lasts a year. If you major in a different one, it lasts 2.
#2151 to #2150 - thechosentroll (10/23/2014) [-]
I am writing this while eating bread and diet yoghurt, because that's all they had left in the university cafeteria when I got there, because dinner ended an hour ago and I missed it, because I had almost 12 straight hours of lectures and exercises. Such is the life of a bulgarian engineering student. Keep that in mind while reading this, as my viewpoint may be a bit warped by hunger and anger.

The stages are as goes:

-Don't know **** about preschool, so I can't really comment on it other than that it's paid and not mandatory, so most people don't send their kids to it.
- Elementary school starts at the age of 6 or 7. It's free and it's mandatory for every 7-yearold to be sent to elementary school, though some can start a year earlier if the parents want. They learn basic stuff like reading, writing, math, some basic history and sciences, arts, music, PE. We start learning a foreign language in the second grade, usually english, though german and russian are also common choices. It lasts for 4 years, from the first to the 4th grade. Interestingly enough, we have government exams after the 4th grade (literature and math), which have to all be passed to move on to middle school. Also, the score is used to apply to middle schools, so you don't end up in a ****** one.

-Middle school. Also free and mandatory. Covers the 5th through 7th grade. Here science class is split into separate subjects, each of which is studied on its' own and in greater detail. This is the part of our education where we have to deal with the highest number of subjects - 13. Namely bulgarian(literature class), our second language, math, physics and astronomy, chemistry and the environment, biology and health, geography and economics, history and civilization, PE, art, music, IT, workshop class. Also note that all the science classes have specific sub-subjects, which are covered in great detail. ****** hard and made even harder by the fact that we have two government exams each year. Fail one and you fail the year. Also, we have even BIGGER exams after the 7th grade, which are also used to apply for the next part. Noticing a pattern yet? The exams are once again math and literature.

-Highschool. Not mandatory, but still free. Lasts until the 12th and final grade. Here you have some options. You have generic highschools and specialised ones called gymnasiums, which focus in either math and science, languages or technical stuff. Cooking and tailoring are part of the technical ones for some reason. Generally the specialized ones are harder, but offer a better education is certain areas AND when you graduate, your diploma allows you to work in the field you specialized in. It's kind of like a college degree, except a bit ******** . That is, unless you went to a math-oriented highschool like I did, in which case you get NOTHING and you more or less HAVE to go to university, since you have no degree and you can't work without one. Yay.
As for the actual studying, subjects like music and art are dropped and you get an increase in math and literature. Also, you start learning your third language. Depending on your school, the 8th grade often focuses HEAVILY on said language and you learn the equivalent of 3 years in a single one, so by the time you've graduated, you've got the equivalent of 7 years of knowledge. And people wonder why we have such an easy time immigrating. With this much **** , you have to be pretty ******* dense to not get the hang of at least one language, given that you'll probably spend 12 years studying english as your second language. Once again, yearly exams with two big ones in the end. This time, only the literature one is fixed. The second exam is mandatory, but you pick what the subject is, since the grade can be used for university applications. You can also choose to have a third or even fourth exam, but no one's masochistic enough to do that.

-University. Oh god, university. I could use up all 8000 characters just on this one, but I'll try to keep it shorter. University is not free, but it's pretty damn cheap. You can work minimal wage and easily pay it off while studying. HOWEVER, it is the single most agonizing experience you will ever have in your goddamn life. See, having too many university graduates is bad for a countrys' economy, since highly qualified individuals refuse to do **** jobs like sanitation or working in production, hence why countries try to artificially limit the number of people who can graduate university. Most countries do it by making it obscenely expensive, like the US does. Bulgaria does it by making it hard as **** . Some countries don't try to limit it at all and either their economies become dependent on imports or they have to import kebabs for manual labor and they overrun the place (just look at scandinavian countries). Anyway, getting sidetracked here. It's hard. Very hard. Firstly, getting into a good university requires absurdly high grades, since you've got 500 people applying for 50 spots. You have to be better than the rest, otherwise you can't get in. Luckily, you can always get into another university, since we have a ******* of those. Almost every major city has one or more. Our capital has 20, for ****** sake! Still, getting in is the easy part. Staying there's the hard part. See, the reason bulgarian specialists are so highly sought after in Urop (even though people refuse to admit it) is because of how our university education works. We focus a lot on practical stuff. And not the american idea of "get a job while studying to get practical skills". Almost every lecture is followed by an exercise. You study **** , then you put it to the test almost instantly. Have have a LOT of exercises. Especially engineering and medical students. Also, we study a wide variety of subjects. We don't just cover the **** you're gonna need, we cover the **** you're gonna need AND everything that's in any way related to it. Even if you're something like a software engineer, you still gotta study electronics, since that could come in handy. Also, exercises are mandatory. If you miss a single one and don't retake it by the end of the week, you have to redo the semester. Doesn't matter if you're dying of ebola or some **** , you drag your ass to class and measure that dielectric penetratability. Lectures are sometimes mandatory and sometimes optional. Depends on the degree. Engineering and medical ones have mandatory lectures. Same as the exercises - you miss one, you fail.
Haven't had any exams yet, so I can't say much about them other than that they're hard as **** and no one really expects you to pass all your exams on the first try. Not even the professors. That's why there's such a massive dropout rate. I mean, **** , It's still the 23rd here, which means the school year started exactly one month ago for my specialty. We've had a single little exam until now, yet 9 of the 90 people in our specialty have already quit. That's 10% in a month. My specialty alone has a 80+% drop out rate. You do NOT want to know how few medical students come out of this **** alive and sane.

All in all, the bulgarian education system can be summed up with: It's hard, it's demanding, it straight up hates you and will gladly kick you in the balls any chance it gets, which is often. However, if you make it through this meat grinder alive and with most of your limbs attached, you will be an unrivaled specialist in your field with a wide array of skills and knowledge, both practical and theoretical. If you make it through, that is. This is why bulgarians, while few in number, have managed to slither all over the ******* place and take a ******* of important positions in international organizations and corporations. Because you have to be one determined and hard-working ************ to achieve that and it's impossible to graduate from university here if you aren't the MOST determined and hard-working ************ around.

Ja You have a good point there.

The hellsing abridged series always has me rolling.
I'll probably set up a marathon myself in my synchtube with some of my online friends.

User avatar #2102 to #2101 - thechosentroll (10/15/2014) [-]
Frankly, I advise you don't try it. ****** like gaming crack. It's a free card collecting game. You start off with some basic ********* cards and get curbstomped until you unlock some proper ones. You do that with gold, which you earn by playing or paying real cash. A pack of 5 cards costs 100 gold. You get 10 gold every 3 victories and bonus gold for completing quests, which are **** like "Win 5 times with this class" or "Summon 20 minions that cost 5 or more mana". It takes ******* forever to get packs and decent cards, so after a while you feel invested even if you haven't spent a penny on the game and you can't quit. Also, it's actually pretty fun.

Not gonna comment on the porn. Dwarf Fortress does not punish you. It's like a game of chess - you're trying to outwit your opponent and predict their every move. The difference is that your opponent has unlimited chess pieces, so you can never really win. You just try to hold out as long as you can and see just how much you can piss the game off.

Not much. Home for the weekend, enjoying the nice, stable internet, even if it's on my old, ****** PC that I replaced for a reason. Should set up a proper internet connection in my university dorm on monday. I need that **** , since my programming textbook is only in digital form. There's no paper version. As for life in general, I'm still trying to get used to university life. It's oddly nice. Most of my classmates are cliche programmers, who I don't want to deal with too much, but my roommate's a bro, all the people I've met are cool, especially the ones who weren't freshmen, the professors are actually nice, known what the **** they're talking about and aim to teach us **** . I don't have a single class that I consider pointless, people in general are a lot more chill and all the hyperactive party animals will be gone by the start of the next semester. All in all, it's better that what I expected in every way. I actually fit in here.

Which is what perplexes me, since those aspects of my personality is what drives most people away.
#2062 to #2061 - venomousvalentine (09/28/2014) [-]
Well I happen to like it.

I don't like exceptionally boisterous people. You give off a calmer vibe.
It's much easier to talk to someone who isn't wiry or driven by intense emotion.
User avatar #2063 to #2062 - thechosentroll (09/28/2014) [-]
Makes sense, I guess. I'm about as enthusiastic and emotional as a tranquilized sloth 90% of the time.
User avatar #2064 to #2063 - venomousvalentine (09/28/2014) [-]
And it's relaxing.
Even when someone is typing like they're hyper it slightly deters me.
Commotion is generally a bad thing.
User avatar #2065 to #2064 - thechosentroll (09/28/2014) [-]
You know, you just made me realize something I've been wondering about for a week now. For some reason the socially inept people in my university group keep clinging onto me. At first I thought it was only because they need a mediator between them and the outside world, but now I remembered something. A while back I was curious if I'm actually an introvert or not and looked into it. Introverted people dislike the company of extroverted people - people who are overly enthusiastic and energetic about everything. I'm an introvert, so other introverts feel comfortable around me. I'm just an introvert, who happens to also have normal social skills.
#2066 to #2065 - venomousvalentine (09/28/2014) [-]
Skills? Oh I've got the skills, I just extremely dislike it.
One on one conversations? Easy
Small group conversations? I can keep silent, listen and talk when I have something relevant to say.

Do I enjoy this? No. Do I freak out a little on the inside? Yeah...
But being around outgoing people makes me feel shaky and jittery and panicky.
Being in crowds of people like classrooms and hallways is where I really have a problem and that becomes EXTREMELY apparent because should I be bumped by someone or someone walks behind me or makes a quick movement I flinch or jump or maybe even let out a small shout...

I do my best to slink through crowds. I'm late to class sometimes because I take the longer routes to classes. Like say I'm on the second floor, and the class I'm headed to is on the second floor.
I'll walk down the small stairway by the last class I was in, go outside, walk around the building, then back up a different staircase just to avoid people.
User avatar #2067 to #2066 - thechosentroll (09/28/2014) [-]
I usually just feel tired when I have to deal with people. It doesn't make me nervous or jumpy, it's just ******* exhausting to keep acting like a functional member of society, since I'm constantly concentrated on it.
User avatar #2068 to #2067 - venomousvalentine (09/28/2014) [-]
I feel that way afterward.
On edge during out of energy after.
I'm a high strung person like my dad... And that's worrisome.
User avatar #2069 to #2068 - thechosentroll (09/28/2014) [-]
Yeah, same. I've noticed everyone in my family values their alone time, so everyone respects it. We all need to get away from people a bit and escape from their ******** .
#2070 to #2069 - venomousvalentine (09/28/2014) [-]
Well thats good I suppose.
My family has started to understand I don't like having long conversations so they've learned to be brief.

See part of the problem is... I get lonely from time to time.
And its hard to find people to talk to that don't make me want to freak the **** out...
And unfortunately for you, you fit the bill.
But it's nice having someone to talk to...

I really enjoy your company. I'm sorry the feeling isn't mutual.
User avatar #2071 to #2070 - thechosentroll (09/28/2014) [-]
I don't dislike talking to you. I just don't like it too much, either. I mean, it's just a conversation. It neither makes me get an erection or want to kill myself. I'm pretty neutral on the whole thing.
User avatar #2072 to #2071 - venomousvalentine (09/28/2014) [-]
As long as you're not suffering on my behalf.
Even if you were it probably wouldn't stop me from trying. I guess I'm selfish like that.

I try to be nice though.
I try to make time for the people that need to talk to me even if that's scarce.
User avatar #2073 to #2072 - thechosentroll (09/28/2014) [-]
Yeah, don't really care if you're nice to me or not. I'm not too big on the whole "sensitivity" thing. Insults and compliments are the same thing - words. What they mean and how important they are is entirely up to the one they're aimed at.
#2074 to #2073 - venomousvalentine (09/28/2014) [-]
I'm the opposite.
I mean I can take insults. I'm not gonna be scarred for life if someone calls me annoying or something, but they still don't feel good.

I actually put in a little bit of an effort to not be physically and socially repulsive and it doesn't make me feel good if that effort gets shat on.

By the way I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but I got a haircut and I regret everything.
I feel like I've had a limb sawed off.
User avatar #2075 to #2074 - thechosentroll (09/28/2014) [-]

That's good. Women are less likely to mock you for crying. And yes, I like reading and scifi. Haven't had much time for it lately, though. I'm even two chapters behind on Onepunch Man. I should probably get to that in a bit.
#2043 to #2042 - venomousvalentine (09/27/2014) [-]
Well then I have some books you should pick up sometime.

Robopocalypse: About a robot uprising and a straight up war of man VS machine.
Robogenesis: The sequel, about the border of man and machine being erased between completely humanlike robots, completely machinelike men, and they all unite under the purpose of destroying an AI intent on eradicating all life be it synthetic or natural.

Then I'm in the middle of reading Gridlinked which as far as I can tell is like one of those old 50s hard ass detective movies, but way in the future with **** like light speed travel, genetic augmentations, and photon cannons and **** .
My favorite character in that book is a surgeon that the entire government hates because he uses loopholes to do illegal experimentation without ACTUALLY breaking laws. He's got half his face replaced with optical and neural augments and he has two extra mechanical arms that have extremities designed for surgery such as scalpels and **** .

Eh, not much of a fan of the post-apocalypse setting. The only post-apocalypse story I've ever liked is Crossed: Wish You Were Here. It's a spin-off of a comic called Crossed. Basically, everyone goes ******* and no one's sure why. Infected people people pop up out of nowhere. They're not dead or zombie-like. Instead, they give into their most primal urges to **** , kill and **** some more everything that moves and some things that don't. The infected develop strange red crosses on their faces, which is why they're called the crossed. It's the story of the survivors, trying to make it in this ******* insane world full of violence and imminent ************ .

Crossed: Wish You Were Here takes place in jolly ol' England instead of the US, everyone's an even bigger cunt, they call the crossed "plussies" (because the cross also looks like a plus sign), everyone's mental and then there's Jackson. It's a free webcomic that updates twice a month. It has a surprisingly gripping story and well-written characters, especially for something that initially seems like a dumb gorefest. I dropped it a while ago. I should get back to reading that sometime. Too bad I can't read it with anyone else in the room.

**** , still on crappy wi-fi. Hardly loads the site. Replies are slow.

I can't really give you specific advice. I used to be like that, too. Not sure how I fixed it. One morning I just woke up, said " **** everything." and stopped giving a **** . I'm not awkward anymore, since I don't think about what others will think of me. I just do or say the first thing that comes to mind. It's almost instinctive. Less thinking helps, maybe? **** if I know. It varies from person to person. Just keep trying to communicate normally with other people. That's how you learn stuff - first, you can't do something. You keep trying. You learn how to do it. You suck at it. You keep trying. You become OK at it. You keep practicing and you become good at it.
