the bird dude doesn't let me in the door

turns out you can't just warp past it because if that first part breaks, the rest of it breaks too

The colony stuff is not bad but it feels quite weightless, except that you can get a good amount of crew members from it. You can literally build tiny shacks, put a torch, doors and the thing in it, place a lot of them in a row and you have a quest/pixel/crew member/item farm.

the main quest bugged for me so I guess it's time to figure out how the colony thing works

Eh, it's better than I expected. The colony stuff sort of compensates for the more meh gameplay.

there is a difference between grinding and leveling, like you would have to be an idiot to think it's realistically possible to beat the slime boss with out a fair amount of levels, but the first 3 bosses are very much about just not being a greedy idiot while fighting them, like, i'm not over exaggerating when i say you can realistically almost beat the first boss on your first character, which gives you enough money to be able to realistically beat the second boss, if you can beat the second boss you can realistically beat the third boss, all these bosses give enough gold to at least get 25 levels, adding all the gold you get trying to get to the bosses makes that go up by a lot, if you explore it goes up even further.

have i played an autistic amount of the game? yes, but almost beating the first boss on my first character isn't something that happens by luck, it's every run, this has happened on my second run through the game, i'm not saying i'm the best at this game, but i've played enough to learn a lot about this game, and my experience is telling me that you don't need to grind.

i'm not against criticism of rogue legacy, the classes are unbalanced, it has a good amount of graphical and technical glitches, it's in my opinion way too short, and the heir randomness leads to you getting all characters being people you don't want, but i just don't see grinding as a actual con that exists in that game.

Do I? Did I say a really small number?

What I'm saying is, that you can make a sphere out of enough polygons to the human eye. As I don't know how many you need to get past the point of it being visible to the eye, I won't even dare estimating that one.

However, I'd like to note those game models and how much they got better other time and how quickly you kinda hit the "saturate" line ... meaning, that at one point, adding more polygons, doesn't do shit anymore. Kinda benchmark talk

... it's been ages when I saw the explanation for that stuff, and I won't go for that ... but this is an important issue in simulations ...
