Of course there isn't. Gen 5 isn't even halfway done. A testsoundtrack for Rustboro City is in B2/W2, so this proves a remake of Ruby and Sapphire will be coming after B2/W2 is released. This also reveals that Gen 5 will continue after B2/W2.

The Uchiha clan had an unsteady alliance with the Leaf Village, and were planning on overthrowing the village, which would of lead to the Uchiha's complete annihilation. Itachi said he would assasinate the entire Uchiha clan before they tried to revolt against Konoha, in exchange for the choice of preserving the life of his younger brother who was the only one left in the dark about the riots his family was planning on unleashing. He took the blame for the death of the Uchiha clan.

There's a lot more that goes into it, but you really just gotta go read it.

You're right about the Uchiha clan wanting to revolt, but Itachi didnt volunteer to kill his family to save his brother, he volunteered to to keep konoha save, because while the Uchiha would fail and die, Konoha would be so weakened from the revolt, that they would be prime targets to destroy, which would kick off the 4? shinobi war. Itachi had already lived through a war and saw what it did to people, so he volunteered to stop that. The reason sasuke was left alive was because itachi couldn't bring himself to kill him.

nah, in a recent manga chapter, they showed him talking to the leader of the anbu root division, Danzo, and Danzo told him that if he didn't go through with it, the only other option would lead to his brothers demise. So he knew before the attack that he'd be able to spare his brother.

Also, I'm not sure if I'm making this up or not, but I'm 70% sure I remember reading something about Itachi seeking out Tobi to disguise himself as Itachi and follow through with the task, because Itachi already knew about Tobi's grudge against the Uchiha, and said he could kill all of them as long as he spared his brother.

I remember reading that, but it's a foggy memory. I'm pretty sure that's what happened.

i always thot it was itachi going to him for help, cause itachi didnt think that he could take on the entirety of the Uchiha clan or something, thats when tobi told him how to unlock the Mangkeyo Sharingan.

Also, if I recall correctly, he didn't get his mangekyo from killing his friend, his friend was aware of the plan and knew he had to die so he gave his eye to Itachi as a parting gift.

Not sure how accurate that is, memory's foggy, but that's the general gist of what happened
