The cop wasn't going for a chokehold. He was going for a headlock. He was actually trained to use headlocks by the department which is idiotic. Sure, if executed perfectly they are safe but when you're trying to do this in the real world nothing quite happens how you want it to. The egregious part was the fact that he didn't provide medical attention. It is inexcusable. Same thing with Tamir Rice. He had a gun so they shot him. Fine. But it was a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Very survivable if you get medical attention in the first 5 minutes but otherwise fatal. The 2 cops who shot him stood around and let him bleed out until a detective showed up and tried to save his life after about 4 minutes but at that point he'd already lost too much blood. I don't fault the police for using force to subdue people. It is at times necesary. But when you do subdue someone with force, you are responsible for at least TRYING to ensure that they receive proper medical attention. To just stand around and let them die is completely fucked.

a choke hold doesn't even knock people out by cutting off air supply its about cutting off the blood to the brain and he would have been out in 5 seconds if it was in tight enough to do that but he wasn't and he said that he couldn't breathe which is a thing you can't do when you can't breathe

also wasn't his actual cause of death related to his heart and not his lungs?
