Grew up in/around Tempe. Still living here today. Basically a college town that a suburb grew off of. Plenty to do, slowly (if awkwardly) becoming quite bike friendly, not much crime, you can visit Little Mexico (aka, the town of Guadalupe), which is sort of stuffed into the southwest side. It's got freeways everywhere around it, so you can quickly get anywhere in the metro area. Also the light rail system is quite good. If you don't mind highs of 115+ in the summer and half the elderly of the rest of the country and Canada flooding the place in the winter, it's a nice place.

I'm okay with that, I love the heat and so does my wife. We're both from Palm Springs California originally, and it's just the two of us as well no kids, so the college towns totally cool. And yeah I don't ride bikes much but if I can long board everywhere thats a huge plus

13 degrees in utah, or 13 in Flagstaff?

It's gotten in the -Fs a couple times this year. In Phoenix it definitely doesn't get cold. Like lows of 37 in the dead of winter.

It's 13 here in Utah, thats why I was surprised when you said it gets cold. Yeah Tempe's right outside of phenix, and thats where I'm planning on going. I can deel with 37. I can't deal with the negative degrees anymore.

I don't know how many hills we have to longboard on here. Though a lot of people use them as transportation. Phoenix is pretty flat, and Flagstaff is probably as cold or colder than where you live now. Have you visited much?

Arizona is a great place but do not move to Tucson. It is quickly becoming a horrible gang like place. Too much culture there too. Phoenix and Mesa are okay but I always prefer the small towns.

You're confusing Tucson with Nogales and Payson, Tucson is an alright place. Hardly any work though.

Love this state. Lots to do if you love the outdoors, lot's to do if you want to go hit the town, lots to see. I've never lived anywhere else though, so I don't have much to compare it with.

Awesome! I love all of that. One of my main hobbies is long boarding, and I've just gotten so sick of having to take 7 months off whenever it snows. I live in Utah now, and the culture and the winter has just gotten to me.

Yeah but he used the world teleport because people who don't play league won't know what flash does. So he called it teleport, because flash is just an immediate short range teleport.
User avatar
#20 - megaton (01/11/2016) [-]
yea but a person who neverp played the game would not know that. and it does literally teleport you.
User avatar
#57 - motherfuckingkenji (01/11/2016) [-]
There are plenty of games where "flash" or "blink" is synonymous with "short-range teleport"
Starcraft or Dishonored, for example.
User avatar
#60 - megaton (01/11/2016) [-]
once again that implies that the person has to be familiar with the gaming terms.
User avatar
#62 - motherfuckingkenji (01/11/2016) [-]
If they're not a gamer, or at least not a very "diverse" one, then I am in the wrong here.
But I still stand by the fact that there are MANY games besides LoL that use the terms "blink" and "flash" in that context.
User avatar
#104 - deathstare (01/11/2016) [-]
I don't play that game, and to me flash reminds me of lowering someone's accuracy, so you can dodge their hyperbeam or something.
User avatar
#39 - thebballin (01/11/2016) [-]
Except there is a summoner spell called teleport as well. You could say "they used an ability called flash..." And then continue with your explanation.

well it is true. At the end of Amazing Spider-Man 2 Gwen was falling when spiddy tried to save her with his webs, but when he caught her it ended up breaking her back and then she hit her head in the ground.
