Phase Shift has online and is compatible with FoF songs, i spent plenty of time in that game, this was like 2 years ago though, not sure how the online thing will be going.

After trying to get my GH3 Wii controlelr to wrok for hours, I give up. After trying the change the GlovePie script many times, it just goes apeshit when I change anything, and if I don't change anyhing, the colors/frets are backwards ingame. I also don't see any option ingame to turn of lefty mode or whatever so the buttons aren't backwards.

There is a game called Phase Shift that has all Rock band and guitar hero DLC on a thread on a forum (Frets on Fire forums i think it was), and it works pretty well with the controllers, is the best thing out there on PC probably.

I got all the packs and had like 15k songs lol

I Mostly stay on pc because i have a laptop and i'm usually away from home, so is the best thing i can do for now, aside that all my friends are on PC too, too bad my laptop is not very good.

I recently got a 3DS because there are a few games that i like and a friend does not mind giving me some for a while, so that's what i'll do for now.

It's really easy from the videos i've seen, and i got really mad that the guy in charge of DJHero (which is the one in charge of the new GH now) was commenting on how people was complaining that they could not reach the orange button, so they made this new system. I mean, if YOU CAN'T, does not mean the rest of the players can, because most of the players end up reaching it, is not inhuman.

Also you can't get DLC because apparently you can only get songs via a subscription, so if you don't like the core songs, too bad.

I will probably get RB4 as soon as i get a PS4 probably, since i have a few DLC's from the old RB and you can still use them on the new RB.

Yeah i moslty used the lower, but it broke and it has like 100 ms delay (not screen delay, but button response) and it's awful.

I never had an official RB controller, but i had this Gene Simmon's axe that is supposedly more an RB Controller than a GH one.

With this one it felt better doing chords on the bigger notes and solos were indeed easier on the lower part since they were smaller, i never switched between both in the same song unless i had plenty of time though.

However i have RB2 and i'ts way easier to do Expert things there, specially if you have the RB guitar which let's you play solos without picking (my axe controller lets me do that).

I always thought RB went for realism and GH went for difficulty, that's why i prefer GH.

I could not really get to the WT engine (which includes Metallica, Smash Hits, etc), because it felt weird to play, and i missed way more notes than in GH 5 engine, which i found it really satisfying to play, that's why GH 5 and WoR are my favs behind 3.

I only get to play in summer because that's when i got time to get people in the house

Yea, I liked 5 way more than WT. I only liekd WT for the songs, and I'm picky with music, so it jsut so happened to have a bunch of my fav songs in it. Another thing, have you played Rockband with a GH controller? I swear palying RB with a GH controller is the easiest combo. Expert on RB is way easie than GH, both with the GH controllers.

I remember seeing a lot about frets on fire and I never knew how I could try it, so I'll definitely try that now. I just like playing with the GH controller for nostalgia reasons mostly, so anything is good for me.

It was fun knowing that I was the one kid that could expert 95 percent of the songs from a lot of the games.

And my favorite is either 3 or World Tour, which really makes me want to order a World Tour kit from Amazon.

I'm also the only guy from the group that played Expert.
3 Had the best songs ideed, but the number of songs compared to the newer ones makes me play WoR for example more often(or 5 sometimes).

Also because of drums n stuff.

I liked World Tour for a while cause for some reason, I loved the guitar that came with WT the most, until 5 came out. Thne i broke it somehow and stopped playing for years, then saw a cheap listing for GH3 with the controller on Kijiji and got it.

#1379956 - seyren (01/12/2016) [-]
I never had an official RB controller, but i had this Gene Simmon's axe that is supposedly more an RB Controller than a GH one.

With this one it felt better doing chords on the bigger notes and solos were indeed easier on the lower part since they were smaller, i never switched between both in the same song unless i had plenty of time though.

However i have RB2 and i'ts way easier to do Expert things there, specially if you have the RB guitar which let's you play solos without picking (my axe controller lets me do that).

I always thought RB went for realism and GH went for difficulty, that's why i prefer GH.

That's why I liked the GH WT controller, casue it was the first to have the lower buttons/touchpad thing for solos, and It did help. I have trouble with solos on the GH3 Les Paul, and it;'s the only guitar I have now. My hand gets so tired really fast in songs with lots of yellow+ orange and yellow+blue chords that are fast, lol. That guitar looks crazy, I think I'd be a lot better with the lwoer buttons cause they're cloiset together.

#1379960 - seyren (01/12/2016) [-]
Yeah i moslty used the lower, but it broke and it has like 100 ms delay (not screen delay, but button response) and it's awful.

I always used GH3 Les paul but the green button broke, so now i'm switchign between the GHWT and the WoR, they are both pretty great.

I was thinking about getting GH Live, but after reading reviews from long time GH players, I don't think so. From what I've read, hardcore GH fans don't like it cause it's bland comapred to old GH, but new players will like it.

#1379963 - seyren (01/12/2016) [-]

I just sold my PS4, so I have no way of getting RB4, tho GH Live is on PS3 which I stil have. I'm not super interested in buying new games like this, I just like that I can play the olds ones again since I found my Les Paul controller, and i have a WiiU & I had all these games on Wii, so I can still play them.

If I get bored of my WiiU, I'll probably sell it, and If I'm still interested in some console game, I'll probably get an Xbox cause all my friends are on xbox.

I Mostly stay on pc because i have a laptop and i'm usually away from home, so is the best thing i can do for now, aside that all my friends are on PC too, too bad my laptop is not very good.

I recently got a 3DS because there are a few games that i like and a friend does not mind giving me some for a while, so that's what i'll do for now.

oh shit, I forgot they were on PC, That makes it easier for me now. There's a way I can use my Wii guitar on PC too, so that makes it super easy, plsu, I'm a bit of a pirate, so I can jsut download GH3 + other PC ones. I did buy it originally, so it technically isn't pirating it anyway, lol.

I got all the packs and had like 15k songs lol

arms race is better than casual in my opinion if you're good
winning an arms race takes like 4-6 minutes, and you get half the xp of casual
casual can take up to like 20-25 minutes tho
