Lesson #1: It's actually just called Irish(or Gaeilge in Irish!). Gaelic could refer to a couple other languages, even though most people unfamiliar with the language call it Gaelic!
I'm actually not sure. I learnt it in school. You could probably learn some handy phrases on Youtube or something, or you could do a course in a college. Depends where you live. In America, there are probably loads of cheap lessons because the interest in Irish is pretty high.
