If you saw the movie, you'd know he dropped his lightsaber riding down the mountain after grievous...

ofcourse i saw the movie, but if he didn't lose the saber he could have killed him with it, or maybe one of those awesome electrical sticks :)

A jedi's only weapon that they WANT to use is a lightsaber, it is a more civilized way to kill but they don't intend to kill most of the time they only want to disarm an opponent.

He is but he knows not of the ways of a jedi other than what yoda and obi-wan taught him, being a jedi isn't just having a lightsaber its a lifelong contribution to the jedi order. He didn't have that, he lived on tatooine most of his life. that is all.
