My favorite is Girls' Generation for sure. Also pretty big on 2NE1.
And I've only recently started going to Reddit, and their Kpop community is one of the main reasons I like it. That, and their D&D community.

Only been to one concert, it was the SBS Kpop Super Concert last year.
The line up was: 4Minute, Sistar, CNBlue, KARA, Beast, 2NE1, Girls' Generation.
It was the most amazing thing ever.

To be honest, it's like the only real concert I've been to. My friends told me that the Legend of Zelda symphony of the Goddesses doesn't count :(
I feel like it's harder for us, being American. We're so spread out that even if someone is touring America, they might not come anywhere near you.
And damn, she is so lucky. I'm going to Japan this summer, maybe I should find out if there are any shows while I'm there, since those Kpop groups love giving them all of the good stuff. Freaking Japan.

I completely agree! It really is tough to find anyone that might be touring in a place near you. LA gets visited fairly frequently, and I'm just crying back in MI. But yup, she spend 4months over there and I'm like.. so.not.fair. Luckily she brought me home lots of kpop goodies. :D But ugh, yes Japan gets gets all the good kpop stuff!

Actually, that's what I'm majoring in. The college I'll be transferring to for my bachelor's doesn't really have a linguistics program (I'd have to go out of state), but they do have good programs for individual languages (and I'll get to learn a related language while I'm at it!).
