No. No it really isn't. It is a religious position one can take, yes but it is not a religion or a belief. Dis-belief. Also, atheists are not just atheists.
There is a far greater ideological difference between, say, a real nihilist (believing in nothing, but believing HARD) , a new-ager (i don't believe in god, but in .... something. Ooooh, a butterfly!) and a modern heathen (Fuck that shit, i am my own god. The ideals of my forefathers make me strong) than there is between a chill protestant, a roman catholic and a hater from the westboro baptist church.

"All religion is bad, die" He didn't say or even imply that. He said there are bad things in religion, and there is. And atheists have just as much right to work against religion as religiuos people have to work for it. In my experience the missionary religions are a hundred times worse against atheists than the other way around. Of course, that's not how it looks on FJ, which is a pretty poor forum for this kind of thing. That said, i found OP:s post funny and clever.

Now, the point i was working up to is this, how it looks in my world. Most people where i live are atheist and look down on all religious people with mild contempt, but generally don't bring the subject up. Christians talk themselves blue to score a convert, and sulk when shot down with logic. Jews are aloof and believe themself to be several classes above everybody else, and hates muslims with a passion. Muslims hate everybody with twice the passion. A very typical muslim youth believes with all his heart that unbelievers should be put to death and that Jews are heartless monsters, not even human. This is from personal experience, not media lies and propaganda.
