If you're talking welfare then no, they don't. You basicly get enough to pay your rent, if welfare doesn't deem your apartment to expensive(if they do you have to move), plus basic living expences(something around 3500skr I think). A mechanic gets almost 23000skr a month.

A freind of my dad lost his job and was going to get welfare so he had some money until he found another job. Infront of him was a african family (8 kids 1 adult) and wanted 20:000skr a month. And the worst part of the story was that it was accepted.
