The only time you'll ever use imaginary number in a job is if you're a math teacher, it can't be used to solve any real world problems. And alot of school teaches you things that you aren't interested in and could be used in a job but not a job you would ever want, therefor they become a waste of time. Time that could be spent learning something they care about and intend to use in their future career. We're forced to learn things we don't have any interest in and end up learning little to nothing about the field you intend to explore as an occupation. And then there's college, which is similar in that it forces you to take classes you don't want or need for no good reason and you end up spending almost all of your time and brain power on those classes because there's so many of them which ends up hurting your success in the class you care about and need for your future occupation. Mandatory classes in general are just stupid after middle school.
