52 episodes in 2 seasons.
Next 2 seasons involve same cousin and grandchildren of main characters from 1st series. There's some more incest brewing. But ending isn't a romance one.
5th season involves grandchildren my assumption, most last names don't match anymore, but one can assume so from the ending from 2nd series it's a 100+ year story; what can I say? . Sadly it took ecchi turn and I didn't quite like it.

Yup, I own it all myself. Only things I haven't really listed is the two "Dictionaries" that he and his friends made:

-The Meaning of Liff
and
-The Deeper Meaning of Liff

In which they created words for all of those things in life that didn't have words. Such as the feeling of walking into a room and not knowing why you were there, or the sensation of staring at your fridge while starving and being incapable of comprehending eating any of it. Just a headsup, they're both kinda underwhelming, but neat in a tiny way

And finally, "The Salmon Of Doubt" is a biographical, posthumous collection of a lot of his work, including some of his very first writings, stories of his childhood and his likeness to a clock tower. How music influenced his life and how he somehow wound up playing guitar with a member of the Beatles by pure chance. How he wound up working with the Monty Python cast briefly, and writing several episode plots for Doctor Who, and how he found himself in a relationship with two dogs who would determinedly ignore him as he walked in their vicinity.

Sure thing broheim. I love all of Douglas's work, even the attempt at what even HE expected would be a subpar attempt at a movie, after all the frustrations he had with Hollywood trying to set it up. While I have you captive, maybe look into finding "Last Chance to See", which is the book Douglas wrote to document his adventures around the world discovering strange and endangered species

SUCH AS THE GLORIOUS KAKAPO! Which in this gif is vigorously mating with the back of Douglas's friend Mark Carwardine's head

The trilogy of books written by Douglas Adams:

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Life, the Universe and Everything
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
Mostly Harmless

The last one was published in 1992, and Douglas considered it finished. As the years went by, he had a change of heart about the ending (and trust me you'll see why) and then put considerable work into a 6th, but after a fateful gym visit was taken from us in 2001

Eoin Colfer wrote a single addition the the series, as a longtime friend of Douglas, and an eternal fan of his writing:
And Another Thing...

Best of luck man, they're one of the best book series i've ever read. Also recommending "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" and its sequel "The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul", which are both also by Douglas. Very convoluted detective books with sci-fi/fantasy nonsense thrown in.

Example being, Dirk Gently figures out that aliens must be visiting because a couch is stuck in a stairwell... and he's not wrong!

Ah, yeah, later books in the series. Arthur and Thor kinda butt heads from time to time, and then Zaphod goes and makes a mess in Valhalla in the 6th of the trilogy (that despite being written by Eion Colfer, uses Douglas's notes he'd planned for a 6th, and ends it the way Douglas had)
