Yeah, good argument, but several issues.

The cheetahs were exposed to total strangers regularly. Even goats in petting zoos can get pretty violent. Domestic horses have gone apeshit for no apparent reason and trampled their riders.

"For wild animals, they make great pets." They're still fucking wild praetors and unpredictable. A 40-160 pound cheetah is still better than a 500 pound lion.

Cheetahs are shy and could be pets if you have a dog since the dogs make the cheetah feel more safe.

Thing is, a long, long time ago, Cheetah were actually being domesticated. I think they were more popular than tigers, but don't quote me on it. Many emperors and kings had cheetahs as pets and I think people also used them to hunt. I wonder why they stopped, but I imagine this is the reason they are the most docile of the big cats, because they do have SOME domestication in them still.
