Yes, which is why, especially now, I support egalitarianism. Early feminism was necessary, when the feminist movement started women were treated as second-class citizens. Now, in the first world women and men are both discriminated against fairly equally, but in different ways, and neither are as discriminated against as the LGBT community. In the third world, racial, religious, and LGBT groups are as discriminated against as women. ALL of these issues need to be addressed.  While it is true that you cannot judge a group based on its extremists, you CAN judge it based on how it treats its extremists. While your friends may have privately spoke against the extremism of Feminism, if you try to have them do it in public Feminist meetings or online, you will face a steadfast refusal.
