Yes, I'm also voicing my opinion out in form of thumbs, just like everyone else in the thread.

The whole point of the thread is to rate others' desktops.If I see a desktop without icons, then surely I'm gonna thumb it up.

Desktops are like art.
And just like in art, there are several things that you might dislike or like about them, in my case - icons.

When I'm rating a desktop, I'm not rating it basing on how efficient it would be to use it, but rather by how beautiful it looks.
And as we all know, something being beautiful or not beautiful is completely subjective, and as such, I can't give criticism to it, since it's completely opinion based.

Well, you see, for me it's the other way around - looks first, efficiency second.

I'm sorry if I appeared dickish, I understand, I voiced an unpopular opinion that the majority of the world disagrees with, and obviously I got flamed upon.
Note that I never started this rant - I simply started thumbing down the desktops that I don't like, and several people didn't like this and so wanted to start arguing.

If everyone is gonna post desktops with icons, then yes, I will thumb them down, though obviously I won't stay up for the whole lifetime of the thread.

I just don't understand why does it bother people so much that I don't like something that others like.I understand them not liking me for that, but being bothered so much by it, that I don't understand.

That's the thing, I never went out of my way to display my opinion, except in the way of thumbing the pics, which, as I mentioned, everyone else in the thread was doing.

if everyone started getting thumbed up, nobody would notice, as you said, so I don't see why would anyone need be bothered for getting thumbed down.

Sure, probably the main reason most people started the hate is because they though I'm just thumbing everyone down, but unfortunately they weren't satisfied even after I explained that I'm thumbing down specific desktops, and not without a reason.

I'm aware that people will dislike it when I dislike something of theirs, but I just don't understand why must they be so aggressive about it, like seriously, instead of just thumbing down or telling me that they disagree, they started saying how I'm and idiot or a moron of whatever else they said.

I don't care about me being insulted or being disagreed with, but I care about the fact that stuff like this happens on a daily basis, with people who might be more sensitive, and sometimes with people who make more sense with the disagreeing majority.

Just one last thing - I'm not sure if it's some official writing style of Scotland or Ireland, but I must know, why are you typing like that?
