Beats me, I've always had poor health, but recent years, the last and this one especially have proven quite drastic in progression of my chronic conditions. Going to doctors, unhelpful for the most part, but they finally found something. My cat scan found a vein or artery or whatever that is pushing on my intestine and putting pressure on it, causing it to be strangled or something. Still waiting to hear from a bigger hospital out of state, as I'll be going to them to get that looked at. I wonder if it's something that's going to need surgery, I wonder about a lot actually. My body is weak, my symptoms abnormal. I honestly don't know sometimes, the pain is enough, but the simplest way to put it is that my body is a mess... for unknown reasons, at least I have one answer of some sort.

Anyways, I only mention this because I don't want people to think I quit if anything were to happen to me. I'm sick of being sick. Lately I've been having a lot of nose bleeds. On top of everything, it really bothers me. But I don't care. I'm living until I die. I'm tired of letting my body and circumstances stop me from moving forward.

I'll grasp this life as best I can with no regrets, until my hearts last beat, I refuse to stop. I'll keep going, I'll keep going. I will do my best. Because in the end that's all that matters.

Anyways sorry if that was melodramatic. I'm light headed. My stomach is churning, and my muscles are throbbing. I'm a mess right now, it's hard not get emotional. I've been sick a long time, as long as I can remember, but this probably the sickest I've ever been. It's ironic too, now that I want to live more than ever... I can barely wake up in the morning. But hey!

Not really. As much as I support OPs post this particular example is pretty shitty. When a newborn is killed the prosecution looks at all manner of evidence, one of these being the mental state of the mother. Taking this into consideration the prosecution decides whether to press charges for murder (which females can be charged with despite the previous post) or infanticide. Given that birth CAN have severely mentally detrimental effects on a mother that's why this exists - it's basically the legal way of saying "it's only kinda your fault, the birth did unbalance you a bit".

The reason men don't have a similar legal clause is because men typically don't experience postpartum depression (although they infrequently can), so it's very rare to see fathers kill their children as a result of an inbalance caused by the newborns presence
