I think that is just to show how genius of a fighter Goku is. It is stated though saiyans get stronger after every near death battle

While I agree Goku is fast, he certainly isn't billions of times FTL, even with that feat in mind

Hahaha can't argue a billion times FTL, but it doesn't seem like he abides by a cosmic speed limit (or any rules of phsyics for that matter).

All in all it is kind of silly to compare them. They all have different qualities and weaknesses. Of course Goku is gonna win because his entire story is about being OP enough to fuck with Gods. Does it make him a better fighter? Yes. Does it make him a better character? No. That's up to preference. I personally like Goku for the same reasons I'd like Luffy and Naruto (Because personality wise they're kind of reskins)

For an actual fight though, I'd say Goku, Luffy and then Naruto. I'm not entirely sure where Toriko goes as I haven't actually watched/read it but I assume it'd be between Luffy and Naruto.

I'll take your word for it then. I just remember Goku eating a ridiculous amount of food and I really don't think anyone is going to be able to out-eat Luffy other than like Kirby or something. So Luffy, Toriko, Goku and Naruto. Better?

The problem with this whole contest is that the Toriko story literally revolves around food. Fighters get stronger by eating rarer ingredients, and Toriko was able to store 3 million calories at chapter 120 when the most recent is in the 300s.

goku is relativistic in speed tho

but as for eating contest. i think luffy would win simply because even tho i think he is the slowest here...or second slowest( i haventh read up on naruto lately) he can most certainly use his powers to get the edge. not to mention he can eat way more food than anybody else in the list
User avatar #103 - metajunky (12/18/2014) [-]
Correction: Goku can and has NEVER traveled, reacted, or in anyway moved at FTL speed despite what Dwath Battle claims

Also, Goku doesn't get stronger as a fight goes on. He gets stronger when he survives near death fights, not in the middle of a fight unless he charges his ki into his attacks that is
User avatar #389 - taniv (12/18/2014) [-]
Yeah I was saying get's strong as the fight progresses mainly because of the plot convenienitis where Goku can just access new powers through rage or because he hid them, but I guess that wouldn't really be something we rely on in the fight.

As for FTL, I haven't really done any calculations, just based on the fact that for the most part Goku moves faster than even a Saiyan eye can percieve sometimes, and the incredible speed in the scene during Battle of the Gods (if you count that as cannon) where Goku and Beerus have a pretty decent length fight while the water droplet is airborne. Bomb ass scene mind you
User avatar #390 - metajunky (12/18/2014) [-]

Except he does.

Plenty of manga feat's show some ridiculous speed/power
#167 - thumbwhoremuch (12/18/2014) [-]
Where is your source on him never moving FTL? The math in Death Battle seems pretty indisputable. In fact it even goes as far as to say he can move 2.9 trillion miles/second, or over 9000 times the speed of light, in SS4 (Which isn't even Battle of the Gods level). Simply being in SS4 burns energy meaning he could stay in form and eat as fast as he wants to. Even as a child he puts back twenty plates so it's not like somehow space is an issue.
User avatar #346 - metajunky (12/18/2014) [-]
Death Battle never said that. Goku by their calcs is just over 2 times lightspeed. It makes no sense, however, because Goku flying at top speed stills taks him quite some time to get to the other side of the planet, which is why he just uses IT to get to places
#349 - thumbwhoremuch (12/18/2014) [-]
Actually they went back and recalculated the entire thing. The video was INCREDIBLY flawed in Goku's ability. He moves almost 12 times faster than the speed of light at base power form, no super saiyan. He moves 52 times fast at SS4, and this is all based on his lowest calculated speed during the Frieza Saga, they prove it even faster later on in the series but don't use it to be fair in the fight with Superman. Goku flies all the way around Namek in ~1 second, and Namek is larger than Earth.
#354 - thumbwhoremuch (12/18/2014) [-]
In fact you questioning it made me go back and recheck and realize that when I said over 9000 times light speed I was converting lightspeed into meters per second not miles per second. He actually is 4.9 million times faster.

Source: www.screwattack.com/news/death-battle-erred-goku-vs-superman

You can deny it all you want but this page is by far the most in depth analysis I have ever seen. In the show things are spread out for the audience, in fact Ki isn't even supposed to be visible, but is for the audience. If the show all happened just to show what was really going on the episode essentially would be them all just talking and hanging out with no fight scenes.
#367 - metajunky (12/18/2014) [-]
>posts blog from pissed of fanboy made after goku got floored
>kakarot88
>it totally was them guys

Never mind that the blog has been picked apart numerous times for relying on calcs based on assumptions rather than clear facts, failing to put any of the feats into proper context, massively exaggerating Goku's capabilities and hyperboles made by certain characters, and lowballing and flat out ignoring Superman's best feats

Even with these hyper-exaggerated capabilities that blatantly contradict the events and limitations shown in the manga, Superman is still stronger
User avatar #353 - metajunky (12/18/2014) [-]
lolwut

They never "redid" the calculations, and if anything the calcs were off because they gave Goku every benefit of the doubt. They were inflated numbers. Goku has never travelled remotely close to lightspeed. We have no idea what the distance between Goku and Freeze was, so that is also a faulty argument

Gohan in the Buu saga was trying to run away from Buu to the other side of the planet. Even though Gohan at that time was much faster than Freeza and Goku were in there fight, he still didn't get to the other side in a fraction of a second
#355 - thumbwhoremuch (12/18/2014) [-]
Refer to the comment I just made in reply to myself for source on why you are fucking dumb. At least look it up before telling me they didn't redo calculations and read the entire fucking thing like I did if you even want to argue further. You're saying stupid ass shit you've decided with no actual calculations so I'm not going to bother responding until you have something reasonable to defend your point.

Honestly for me, that case depends on some facts I don't know.

If the choke hold was one in the sense that he restricted air flow and crushed the fucker's windpipe (which I doubt since he mustered the "I can't breathe" thing), then yeah he should be arrested. That's not okay. However, if the choke hold was a more usual one in that pressure was place on the side to restrict blood flow, which is far less dangerous, then he should face whatever penalty is set by his jurisdiction since it is against policy.

Personally I don't think he should face jail time if that's the case, because the guy was resisting arrest and the maneuver should almost never be fatal under normal conditions unless held for an extended amount of time. The guy's health is likely what killed him if that was the case, but I don't know.

Also there's the matter of having a tazer, pepper spray, or some other tool to subdue him but I don't know what the cop had on him.

Overall though I don't really care, since I doubt it was racially motivated and it damn sure wouldn't have sparked nearly as much outrage, if any at all, had garner been a 300lb white guy.
User avatar #59 - taniv (12/13/2014) [-]
Part of the morality issue I take up with it is the cop really didn't try anything else. There were 5 or 6 of them, which is more than enough to do a safe and controlled takedown, even on a man that size. Source: my experience Wrestling and playing as an undersized Lineman, so it's not exactly credible information. That, and once Garner was on the ground, they didn't let go of the hold. At that point, when he's on the ground, all you have to do is keep him down using combined body weight. Some people argue the "chokehold wasn't enough" because they still couldn't get his arms behind his back. To that I respond a firm "no shit" that they couldn't get his arms behind his back, because he was probably grabbing at the dudes hands trying to release the grip or in any form of panic that happens when you "can't breathe", or more accurately, have your oxygen supply restricted.

In terms of legality, the autopsy ruled that it was in fact the chokehold that killed him through compression of some organs I can't remember the names of; although I wouldn't doubt health was a contributing factor. The chokehold is against department policy, which got the officer's badge taken away. The officer was charged with excessive force and homicide, mainly going off the medical examiner's classification of the incident as "homocide", which medically just means human killed a human, not the same as the legal definition. In terms of excessive force, using a technique against department policy that results in serious injury or death of an individual SHOULD be illegal, though I'm not sure if it is. I personally believe the officer didn't mean to kill him, but his lack of malevolent intentions don't excuse him. I think he should have been tried for excessive force personally, not homicide.

Like in most police cases (white or black victim), there was no indictment. As an aspiring cop, I can say I'm disappointed. That video was horrific and brutal, and not what I want the badge to represent.

The problem is Those look a hell of a lot like bumper plates (10,15,25 lbs plates that are shaped to stack with 45lbs) and I cant tell but even if the bar is an Olympic one (45lbs base weight) the over all weight is at most 135lbs and could even be as little as 45lbs or so. While this is good compared to her body weight it is not as incredible as at first blush
