You might even venture to say most nazi's were, but once again, nazism was a political party, not religion. Furthermore, no sane person TODAY would be associated with both. And we are talking about today, not the 1940's.

So now we have a medication that is better than the previous one, and it costs 1 buck as well?

if that's true (and we assume that the jewguy isn't a moron) then this is definitely progress regardless of the guy's original intent. I'm not trying to defend him or anything. I'm just used to the fact that there's usually more than meets the eye when it comes to media, among other things.

religiophobia? He said that trying to convert someones beliefs is disgusting and rude, and it is, some religious person doesn't have the right to hold themselves in the moral authority to tell you what you should believe.

and i didn't mean that defending religion outright makes you religious, it was an assumption i made, which apparently was wrong, so what? You still called someone retarded for a completely invalid reason.

I never really approached it from that angle. Thinking about it, if it were written from the perspective of someone living in that time, one would assume the writing to be sparse and utilitarian. Essentially mimicking and foreshadowing the plight of the father/son. I've never read anything else by Mcarthy...do you know if his books all have similar style or just this one?

I disagree. The Road was the only movie I've seen where I feel like it was exponentially better than the book. I hate Cormac's style of writing and refusal to use even basic punctuation. Conversations go like this:
You Hungry boy
Okay
We need to go over there
Okay
Quietly
Okay

I thought the book was mediocre but it made a brilliant film.

To each their own though, I'm glad you enjoyed the book.

#110 - tacotrainone (10/21/2015) [-]
What i really liked about the book is his unique style of writing, i feel like his break down of conventional writing style coupled really well with how the world the character's lived in had broken down. But i can see how it would be annoying.

>doesn't declare int as main's return type explicitly

#144 - nexdemise (10/21/2015) [-]
You don't need to put void into main().

main()
main(void)
main(int argc, char** argv)
main(int argc, char* argv[])

are all valid ways of declaring the main function.

In C if you don't declare main with a return type it's implicitly an int, however it is somewhat of a poor practice.

Bigger problem is constantly doing putting "int" before "faith", since that re-declares the value, I think the compiler would yell at you.
#28 - tigermisu (10/20/2015) [-]
is that c? do you really need to repeat the int keyword even after you have already declared faith? woah.
